I believe the discussion revolved around Ukraine invading Russian territory. There would be no strategic advantage. Strikes against specific high value targets are a very different matter.

It is good for the country feelings to do this.
I remember @Jolly (?) posting a story about the first US bombs to Tokyo. At the time, not much "war" value, but it really got the spirits up.

This attack has strategic value. The Russians are having fuel problems. This will just exacerbate that problem.

Perhaps because the Russian soldiers don't like what they are doing and don't give a rat's ass if Ukraine gets more weapons.

The Ukrainian president accused the two officials of failing to do their duty and protect Ukraine.
He also warned that they "will all be punished," but said he did not currently have time to deal with them.
"Now, I do not have time to deal with all the traitors. But gradually they will all be punished," Zelensky said in his address.

Yep. With twenty recent years of war under our belt, one would think we'd have a better perception of rival armies.
