It’s like you’re trapped in a car that is starting to speed up. Jumping out after 2 seconds hurts a whole heck of a lot less than at 4 seconds.
It will never be provable, but I’d wager every day delayed will have ended up costing 5,000 lives each.

@89th Yeah but those deaths happen only to old people I don't know personally, so what does it matter? Because it's no one I know, and it never will because I'm special, it means as much to me as [insert arbitrary tragedy that doesn't have exponential growth here].

That's about right.
Give us the signal if you ever need to show some virtue.

89th, you need to stop trying to blame this on Trump by using the "he should have started earlier" shit. It's a bull shit argument. If you want to make it about when action was taken, then talk about the fact that the democrats were occupied with their impeachment shit instead of helping with this issue. Until you do that, your take on this is just more jaundiced TDS.

If a frog had wings, he wouldn't bump his butt when he hops.
You make the decisions you make with the data you have at the moment. Hindsight is always 20/20.

As always, you're making this political. I'm not.
I'm saying we have X president (forget the person or party) who even on March 9th was saying we "only have 22 deaths" and comparing it to the seasonal flu. If X president (forget the person or party) had acted earlier (again, we in TNCR saw this weeks before then), it would've had a profound effect given the exponential growth where every day of delay has a magnified fatal result.
But I'll talk facts, you can keep deflecting and talking politics as if that has anything to do with this. Just for a second, imagine X president was Obama...just imagine how you'd be flipping out about his delay right now. You'd be calling for his head under charges of high treason for killing 50,000 americans.
