While distasteful, old habits die hard. This sort of thing is to be expected. It is not indicative of systemic racism and frankly is not a real big deal.

The question is whether it is legal

And of course we would like all the facts before making an accusation of something as not-nice as racism

Did you know that there has been a discussion over the last several centuries about the relative importance of rights to free assembly, freedom of association and racism? Whether these activities are public or private makes a difference.

There is a lot more to it than just screaming racism at people who don't have a racist bone in their body.

But I must say we all recognize virtue whenever someone screams racism.

It doesn't matter. The custom, law, practice, whatever you want to call it, is antediluvian, it's ugly, and it needs to be done away with out of standards of human decency. If it's law, then we need to change the law.

If we're not sufficiently motivated to change the law, then we should just leave things as they are, and face our true colors.

So to speak.

And some states allow cemeteries to be defined as public accommodations, others don't. Some say specifically that cemeteries are not public accommodations.

At least that was the case a few years ago.
