Was the recording "secretly" recorded? Was it it even "private" (did the Georgia party agree that the call was supposed to be "private")? It would be reasonable to think that when a state official hold meetings with candidates/campaigns to talk about elections, that such meetings would be on official records rather than "off the record"/"private", no?

State laws vary. In many states, if both parties are not aware the conversation is being recorded, it is illegal.

But if that's the standard y'all wish to use, fine. Just tell me the rules and we'll play to win.

Assuming Demonrats play by the rules...

Both Georgia and DC are "one party consent" states.

One of my favorite parts was Trump rattling off a bunch of conspiracy theories without evidence other than "this is what I've heard!" which resulted in a "sir, that didn't happen" replies. What a buffoon living in his own reality. "We won Georgia by hundreds of thousands of votes! Just look at my rally sizes!" hahahaha what a child, as if that has anything to do with actual votes.

So you think we should ignore the poll workers who testified just the opposite under oath, along with the physical evidence they gave to support their testimony, and instead take the word of some guy who worked with the voting machines that have been proven to not work.....

Trump's legal team has so far been too chicken to present any of these to a court of law. Maybe you should tell the Trump team to the these individuals with their testimonies and evidence more seriously, like presenting them to the courts of law.

The big picture: Even if President Trump's assertions that there is widespread fraud, enough to change the results of the election in Georgia, it's not enough to change the Electoral College tally, right?

              So, what's the point?

If there really is fraud, it should still be investigated and the perpetrator brought to justice. People need to know that they cannot get away with election fraud. For that, I support investigating claims of fraud.

At the same time, I want people who make such claim to be responsible. Make the claim because you have done your homework and honestly believe your claim to be true, not just throwing every conspiracy theories on the wall just to see what sticks. When you claim fraud, don't tell the public one thing but then tell the courts something else (or as with many of Trump's cases, tell the courts nothing at all). Knowingly making false claims with regards to election fraud is itself a disservice to democracy.

I think a lot of us on the sidelines are not too happy to see those we deem virtual friends hit at each other, sometimes below the belt.

Of course Trump is the greatest president in the history of history. Right? RIGHT!!??

Yes, it will be awesome if the country's gone down the toilet in 4 years. Hopefully we'll all lose our pensions, too. It would certainly be worth the sacrifice to bring back Donald Trump as the saviour of working people everywhere!

The big picture: Even if President Trump's assertions that there is widespread fraud, enough to change the results of the election in Georgia, it's not enough to change the Electoral College tally, right?

                                      So, what's the point?

I had the same thought during the call. I was half expecting Brad to say "Mr. President, even if that were true, you still lost in a landslide according to your own standards"

You keep repeating that bit of nonsense like you believe if you say it enough times it will become true.

He doesn’t say it’s true, he says it meets Trump’s standards. That’s vastly different.
