Well you wanted to get back to 175 by May and you did it, nice job!

In bizarro world, I'm also trying to get to 175 in the next 2 years. I don't want to do it too quickly. I peaked at 232* last July, and was just at 212, so I'm on the way. Would like to be under 200 by August, then 185 by next May.

*232 is also the heaviest I ever got after college, in 2005... if you may recall I signed up for a marathon and ate better and over 2 years went down to 175, so this is basically a complete repeat.

I don’t yet count that 173 given the time of day. I’ll wait until i weigh that in the morning.

This morning I was 167.1. So I can still get there by the end of the month.

You’re fighting the good fight, in retrospect I can see why you started the thread when you went into the 140s, keep up the good work dude!

I actually started the thread when it became clear that I was recovering. About a month after my nadir.

ChatGPT calls my lipid panel ‘unusually favorable’. Claude ‘as good as it gets’. Nice to know I have some good genes too.

Impressive - how is your LDL so low? I’m guessing your consumption of saturated fat is super low.

My LDL is much higher - I eat lots of saturated fat. My trigs are really low though (I think they were 40 last time I measured).

Honestly I have no idea. Diet is surely part of it. I would imagine there is a genetic component. I have results going back to 2018 and the numbers have ranged from 34 to 52.

I’m doing well on a 10mg Atorvastatin. HDL is a little low.

@jon-nyc none of your medications is LDL-lowering, maybe as a side effect? Then that's an amazing value.

I have to get my LDL very low now because of my heart condition. I'm hoping to get in the range you are already in with 10mg of rosuvastatin and 10mg of ezetemibe.
