Backing into a parking space in a parking lot. Yea or Nea?
-
In my truck..almost always. It’s important to see side to side when backing out, and on a larger vehicle, that doesn’t happen until you’re already blocking the aisle. The only exception is angled spots, which only inconsiderate morons back into.
As for our other cars…it depends.
-
Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Mostly not, although I have a spot at work that I always try to get into, as it advertises how early I'm getting in (touches of George Costanza), and if the one directly behind it taken, I'll back in.
-
Almost never. Though occasionally at the gym. Not sure why. Maybe I’m feeling extra masculine or something.
I have a friend who went through transplant when I did. She jokes that she must have had a male donor because ever since transplant she backs into her parking spots.

And I usually park as far away as I can, and still be in the lot.
The close spots are for the old ladies.

After transplant I always did that. Because I finally could. Pre-tx I needed the handicapped spots.

Only if it will be really crowded when I come back out, like at an event.
This is the way.
Normal scenarios, I used to but now I don't, probably because of the qualify of backup cameras/sensors make it easier to back out when departing.

I am always afraid someone will "ding" the car door, so try to avoid parking near someone. But , usually, I dont have a choice.

That's only a problem if you drive an International Woman of Mystery car like an Aston Martin. I drive a Honda, so I don't care.
