Trump says the USA will takeover Gaza

In a world without backlash from those with luxury beliefs, I.e. the world as it always was before the modern west and its diseased cultures became prevalent, Trump's idea is fine. But it's unworkable today, and the terrorism would render a vacation resort completely unworkable. (Not to mention the process by which a vacation resort could ever be built. Over the dead bodies of the current inhabitants?) Or that's what I think.

These things were always solved with some combination of extermination and assimilation, neither of which is workable today. So, no solution. Just permanent conflict, unless the Palestinian culture evolves.

Too much fuss and diplomacy. Nightmarish legal obstacles as well.
Instead, build some exclusive gated housing developments on a couple of those uninhabited island paradises in the Aleutian chain. Guarantee security with 24/7 Coast Guard patrols.

The fact that Trump's solution to violence in the ME is to build a golf resort would be hysterical if I actually thought he was joking. That's the end result of doing nothing. I do agree that's the historical answer. I'm not entirely sure it's unworkable.
Nobody wants the Palestinians. Egypt and Jordan would love for them to just go away, for they are a huge destabilizing influence in both countries as their numbers rise. The Saudis don't want them, either. The Iranians could care less about them, they're just useful tools.
Since we can't just eradicate them, and it's no use to keep bathing them in money (since the people get very little of the money), maybe it's time to cut off most aid. Maybe we do give them the tools to develop real estate or to create jobs, but essentially tell them this is all they're getting and they better make it work.

I don’t recall you ever having a thought, let alone an original idea, on this matter that didn’t involve explosives, pyrotechnics and body bags or, as in this case, a state policy involving the forced mass deportations of people against their will. The approach suggests a rather unpleasant Stalinist technique for problem solving and governance. Not recommended for any modern liberal democracy, especially the USA.
I would therefore question your assertions and calling others here a dumb bustard*.

Sure, it’s getting every Arab nation that is a signatory to the Abraham Accord - Trump’s single noteworthy foreign policy initiative during his first term - to rethink as to why they should remain a part of the Accord. It also gives Arab states currently thinking to sign on an opportunity to reconsider and decline.
Trump is effectively blowing up his own ME foreign policy success story.
Perhaps Trump should for once in his life do more listen then think and confine his talk to asking questions and trying to learn.

It's odd that he didn't bring any of this up before the election. I suppose it's possible he was worried other people would steal his brilliant ideas.

More like it that Trump was envious that since the ICC had arrest warrants out for deeds his friends Putin and Netanyahu accomplished, Trump too wanted to do something that would qualify him for the same high profile attention. Mass deportations and forced resettlement of whole ethnic populations seemed like a no brainier. After all, it worked for Milosevic.
He’s also really big on ensuring his own personal inclusion in competitions receiving international recognition. There’s always the off chance he might just win the attention he believes himself to be duly entitled.
