Me, neither. More than usual, these two candidates are both supremely bad. I can see a road to ruin for this my beloved country with either of them.

Though I don't regard it as inevitable.

My sole hope is that Biden, being of the political class and having spent beaucoup years in the political system, will be less of a loose cannon and may be more amenable to working with the other branch.

Where did I do that? I actually called his followers trumpeters, which was supposed to be an amusing play on words.

Biden has been in politics over 40 years. He didn't accomplish a damned thing during those 40 years, so there's no reason to believe he will now.

In no country different from the US anyone would ever associate me with anything "left". If I'd have to label myself I'd say classical liberal and conservative. Over here I'd be classified as far right in the current political climate.

Nahh, arbitrary. I knew I'd be called on it, though.

And Epanalepsis is a repetition of a beginning phrase at the end of a line or sentence. One of the most well-known examples is Robert Frost's "Mending Wall": "To each the boulders that have fallen to each."
