Is it possible that there's something in the NDA that she wants kept private?
@Tom-K said in The Hegseth "incident.":
But over all I'd consider him kind of a shitty guy. I'd rather it wasn't so. I'm sure he's going to be a great SoD, so no issues there, it just looks bad and makes him kind of creepy.
Yes, and @jolly's concern about his penchant for womanizing is of concern - especially when it comes to such a high position.
If I were President-Elect Trump, I'd jettison him. Too much of a potential liability with no real plus side. I'm sure there are many other more qualified people.
I hear Kamala Harris might be looking for work.

Does she charge by the hour or by the job?

Pretty clear case of non consensual sex. She was sober, he was intoxicated.
LOL.
Yeah...what sober woman takes a drunk guy to his hotel room at 2 AM and is "surprised" at what happens?
But, as I alluded above, thought this incident, by itself, is not disqualifying, the pattern of behavior, including the fact that he admitted to this probably is.
Not legally (I believe he did not rape her), but practically.
He is a liability, and that's the last thing President-Elect Trump needs.

Trump has done enough adultery on his own, he doesn’t need even more help from his nominees.
The TDS is strong within this one, it is.

Or just a reminder why I didn’t vote for him. It’s surprisingly simple. I will not tell my kids I voted for someone so morally bankrupt. Ironic, since he loves bankruptcies.

TDS (noun): (1) Trump Derangement Syndrome. (2) A handy epithet used to dismiss claims that offend one's sensibilities without having to go to the bother of providing any arguments.

You don’t want them deciding not to share a thanksgiving table with you.

Bottom line...Can he do the job?
Lots of people in the North thought Lincoln was nuts for appointing Grant.
-
It’s notable that both he and Trump cheated on W1 with W2, and cheated on W2 with W3.
That seems to be a pretty exclusive club. Seems like to be W3 of such a guy has to come with a little resignation that you’re bound to be cheated on also. Perhaps even with W4 if the guy’s young enough
-
I think whether it’s Hegseth or not, the result will be the same. A radical reorganization of the command and officer corps in the military. The military will go back from DEI and become more of a merit based organization, and the #1 merit will be making the other team dead, dead, dead.

I don't know about that.
Do we want the Russians or Chinese to have more DEI than us?

So the question is: can we trust him? Obviously, his wives couldn't and they were right.
If he can break one oath, he can break another. That's just the kind of guy he is.
