Fetterman's growing on me

That not every junior senator gets a prime speaking spot regardless of how ambitious they are?
I would say that independent of the convention situation, the democratic party has on some level an anti-semitism problem.

I wonder if they are serving bagels at the continental breakfast tables at the hall?

Doubt it. Aqua seems too attached...

I don't know if it's so much anti-semitism as antagonism toward Israeli conservative policy. But of course it will be interpreted as anti-semitism because that's how it goes. if you don't care for BLM's goals you're a racist.

Beg to differ.
I think many American have a shared vision of equality. They don't have a shared version of equity.
Secondly, haven't seen many anti-BLM Americans rioting in the streets or chasing black students off of college campuses.

I think the latter is the impetus, but whenever you take it out on Jewish citizens, not on policymakers, well that's obviously crossing into the former.
EDIT
I also don't think one bucket fits all here. -

I think the multi-bucket idea works for me too. One COULD hate Jews, but I don't think that label is appropriate for all those who oppose current Israeli policy.
Disclaimer - I am not one of them. In ANY time before the late 20th century Gaza simply would have been wiped off the face of the earth. I think Israel has prosecuted this war quite ethically against cowards who hide behind women and children then claim genocide. They are a scourge to be eradicated. But the civilian deaths are purely the fault of Hamas. We have used kid gloves for far too long to avoid the pearl clutching.

Yeah, fully agree.

Yeah. I think it's possible Israel has gotten a few things wrong over the past year, but they were attacked. You're not going to have a morally perfect response to that.
We have used kid gloves for far too long to avoid the pearl clutching.
Was that mixed metaphor deliberate? Because it kinda works.

Anybody else find it interesting that Fetterman has been extremely quiet in such a heated campaign when his state and his regional home are going to be critical in the upcoming election?

Yes. I wonder if he is disillusioned with his party.

He also has been amazingly silent about the Haitian thing. Remember that his hometown is a 20 minute drive from Charleroi…

Good politics? Pennsylvania has been registering a lot of Republicans in the last decade. Maybe it's better to be a centrist and enjoy a long career?

Relatively quiet. Not completely quiet.

He’s been campaigning for her a lot and for Casey too. He talks about it on his personal account not his senatorial account.

Either way that’s an accusation I’ve not yet come across.
