    Back to Trump...

As I said, this Bible is a Lee Greenwood product. Trump has licensed his name to it.

Again, it is overpriced, depending on binding, size, etc. OTOH, Bibles, even the KJV are not cheap, not for quality printing and binding.

When did you last buy a Bible?

I suspect, if you bought something like a Scofield, Thompson Chain Reference, Amplified or one of the several study Bibles such as MacArthur 's, you paid anywhere between $40-$100.

World might be a better place if more people read and followed the Bible.

      Change could start with you.

I have absolutely no problem with people reading the Bible, and even better maybe taking some of the teachings to heart.

Billionaire politicians licensing it to raise money is pretty fucking sad. And if you believe it's really Donny's favourite book, I have a large semi-collapsed bridge to sell you.

      Exactly.

Now if Trump used his billions of dollars fortune to give every adult in the USA who doesn't have a bible in their home (74,820,000 btw), it would only cost him $748 million. WWJD? Clearly Trump values people having the bible over making money off of selling it.

Since you have a desire to distribute Bibles, let me be of assistance...

Exactly, you should send that link to Trump since he's interested in spreading the Word. But he might come back and ask, "How do I make money from this to fund my legal defense related to the porn star I fucked while my wife Mercedes was home nursing our new baby."

      Now, the coup de grace...

Tell me 89th...If you knew of a politician who wanted another man's wife so badly, he seduced her and screwed her. Finding out later that the woman was pregnant, he arranged to have her husband killed.

Would you say that was worse than what Trump has done?

Shows how little you know of what you're talking about. The Gideons don't distribute Bibles to just anybody. Local representatives contact local people and place or give Bibles where allowed. As a local Gideon, you would be working with hospital and military chaplains, hotel owners, etc. You will not distribute Bibles in a church.

While you're doing that, you'll also be speaking in front of churches and civic groups, trying to solicit donations to keep the organization funded.

Now, be my guest and pitch in.

What are you talking about? I literally said Trump's response to the gideon link would be to ask how he could make personal money from it.

Ha! The fact that's even a question says enough about Trump.

In Magaworld “there exists a person even worse” is a valid character defense of the Dear Leader.

Yeah - I can get the argument that Trump is a wrecking ball. I don't understand why he has to be a virtuous wrecking ball.

Sorry, but I'm referring to David and Bathsheba, as I figured even a cursory scholar of the Bible would know. David was not perfect. In fact, he was a deeply flawed man. But God chose him to do some mighty things within his life. Sometimes God has used flawed men for his purposes. David conquered Jerusalem and united Israel. He defeated the Philistines so badly, they never bothered Israel again. And David brought the border of Israel al the way to the sea. God made a covenant with David, promising that a king from his line would rule forever.

                    That king was Jesus Christ.

Trump isn't David. But never doubt that God can work through less than perfect people.

                      Later:

Sorry, but I'm referring to David and Bathsheba….

Be on your way! I was sure you were referring to Slick Willie Clinton.

….pretty sure the yarn about David is just that, a yarn. You were sharing the good gossip about the Clintons again.

                            No it doesn’t matter.

It does matter though when the sales weasel peddling that Bible is disingenuous about it.

I haven't defended Trump's actions in this thread, other than the shit-spraying over someone selling a book that most of you wouldn't even bother to read. I find nothing wrong with the physical act of selling a Bible.

                                Do you?

Yes, I find billionaires selling bibles to make money wrong.

So, what do you not agree with?

                                      1. Selling Bibles? Is there something inherently wrong with that?
                                      2. The statement that every home in America should have a Bible?

BTW, for $500,000, you could of had your picture taken with the 3 Dems in New York today.

The one GOP president in New York today was not taking pictures for money. He was attending a slain officer's funeral.

Compare and contrast, Trump in 2020:

… [Trump] did not believe it important to honor American war dead, according to four people with firsthand knowledge of the discussion that day. In a conversation with senior staff members on the morning of the scheduled visit, Trump said, “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.” In a separate conversation on the same trip, Trump referred to the more than 1,800 marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood as “suckers” for getting killed.

                                          Has Trump changed?
