Au contriere my dear friend from the golden state. Like you, i am surrounded by friends and aquaintances of a polar opposite political belief. I used to just keep my mouth shut as they spouted out loud and on social media daily in deference to maintaining said friendships and aquaintances. No longer. I am now handing it right back to them in a most vocal and intelligent retort as things have gotten way out of hand to the point that party over country is what they prefer. That takes a bit of courage and much more importantly, alot of patriotism for which i hold in spades over the likes of you. I love this country, our country, and will not silently stand by and watch this 250 year experiment disappear down a gold plated toilet bowl with plenty of helping water pressure. 39 years direct service to our federal government including 4 years active duty. Hardly a thing someone would spend 39 years of their
life for if they hated America.We appreciate your service. I'm sure you had the toilets so clean, that even the Virgin Mary would be glad to take a dump in them.

NS seems to be conflating Federal Government with the country. The Federal Government is not the country, and it is quite possible and increasingly likely that somebody could spend 4 decades in the Federal Government and hate the country.

Now, if you want to debate specific issues and positions, we will be happy to do so, and civilly for the most part.
If, instead, you choose to just drop video bombs decrying the evil and foulness of the other side, then you are going to get bitch-slapped hard enough that Larry’s jabs will look like a lover’s caresse.

Yes. You know that California is not just one big bastion of liberalism. There are huge pockets of conservative base throughout the state for which I am in the middle of one of them. Farmers, and foothill dwellers make up a big swath, but there are plenty more from all walks of life. -

Some of us can disagree without being disagreeable. There are many here who lean left (contrary to your perception) with whom I disagree and we have never exchanged a harsh word. Life it too short to be angry all the time, even 1/5 of the time.
