Hard to make a mistake when you're running a Biden Basement campaign. So, is that what we want, mayonnaise and white bread politics? No original thinking, no charismatic candidates? It's Fetterman & Hobbs, almost unable or unwilling to speak, letting their large war chests buy their messaging through all forms of media?

What I'd like is an end to the conspiracy theorists, whackjobs, and followers of the Trump personality cu*t .

    YMMV.

Nice deflection. Are you unwilling or unable to answer the question?

OK, how about this - If you'd stop selecting shitty candidates, you wouldn't have to start resorting to unsubstantiated claims of election fraud to explain away your party's failure.

The people you're praising are the ones losing the elections. You need to pick different people. Charisma and new ideas are great, however if you're losing elections, then there's a reason. Blaming it on cheating isn't really cutting it - the people who do so are the ones losing, so they're not exactly unbiased.

I don't think Lake is a shitty candidate. I've read her platform, I've watched her speak a few times and she's very articulate. I think she stuck her foot in her mouth with the McCain comment, but saying she's a shitty candidate shows just how stupid or ignorant you are. For the moment, my money is on ignorant.

    Change my mind.

Why did she make the McCain comment? Something must have provoked it.

Of course, we all know the answer to that. Donald Trump is why she said it. Conservatives need to divest themselves from Trump. The things he said about John McCain were frankly embarrassing to watch. Worse was watching people who formerly claimed to have respect for McCain fall in line and start railing on him.

Yes, it makes perfect sense to attack somebody's war record over something they did 40 years later.

There's a difference between thinking something and saying it, potentially pissing off a bunch of people.

She didn't appreciate that difference with this comment.

It must be so legally muddy about the right to play songs within a political campaign. Clearly you can’t broadcast them. But what else?

I doubt it’s muddy at all. There’s probably a half century of case law as to what constitutes a public performance.

And yet the playing of unlicensed songs by well heeled campaigns continues to be ubiquitous.

Her experience with the song is a great metaphor for her campaign. She thinks she “wont back down” but ultimately the law says she has to.

                                      Absolutely.

Maricopa County was a travesty in 2020. Most people would try to fix their problem. Maricopa managed to make it worse.

Gross incompetence is worthy of derision.

Unless you'd care to defend that.

                                        Absolutely.

Maricopa County was a travesty in 2020. Most people would try to fix their problem. Maricopa managed to make it worse.

Gross incompetence is worthy of derision.

Seems to me if you were genuinely concerned about election procedures and practices, you’d ask the guy in your own party who is in charge.

But if you just used election denialism to grift off the credulous third of the GOP base then you’d make an angry video and walk out.

                                        Only non-witches get due process.

Look at the bright side...If this was Fulton County and this happened in that Democrat stronghold, buildings would be burning by now...
