I think most AG's won't go looking for trouble in the medical world, unless shoved into it.

Arrest of and confession by the rapist, and confirmation by the police that the 10 year old indeed traveled to Indiana for abortion.
"A Columbus man has been charged with impregnating a 10-year-old Ohio girl, whose travel to Indiana to seek an abortion led to international attention ...*
Gershon Fuentes, 27, whose last known address was an apartment on Columbus' Northwest Side, was arrested Tuesday after police say he confessed to raping the child on at least two occasions. He's since been charged with rape, a felony of the first degree in Ohio.
Columbus police were made aware of the girl's pregnancy through a referral by Franklin County Children Services that was made by her mother on June 22, Det. Jeffrey Huhn testified Wednesday morning at Fuentes' arraignment. On June 30, the girl underwent a medical abortion in Indianapolis, Huhn said.

The status of a "fact."
Democracy dies in making shit up.
That chick seems really unreliable. It is definitely suspect that she captures a single sentence from WaPo piece yet refuses to link to the story. The actual story includes the original source, an Indianapolis OBGYN.
Maybe use the account for entertainment purposes only?

Still stinks, even if true.

This was an unfortunate divergence into the theory that the whole story was made up, but the original criticisms having to do with abortions being legal in all states for this case, still stands.
Yep. Most physicians would have signed off that the pregnancy carried a health risk for a 10 year old…

Exactly. Even the so called "fetal heartbeat" bill is full of controversy. When a "heartbeat" can be discerned is up to debate and interpretation.
Oh, and at 6 weeks, it's not a fetus, it's an embryo, and there is no heart. There is only a tube that begins to contract.
Science....

I would also point out that it’s also still poor journalism to publish the story without any fact checking or sourcing…

Of for the POTUS to use a single source, unvetted story from the bully pulpit for political gain.

I would have said "No", but apparently this wasn't her patient?

@Jolly said in Roe & Casey overturned.:
Shouldn't be that way.
With the way the internet and media now work, stories are not vetted and travel through the public at the speed of light. To make a mistake is bad, but to intentionally plant a false story should be criminal.
Kinda like saying an election was stolen even though you have zero evidence.

Hard to do, when the courts won't admit what evidence that was gathered.
