I love how the 2 reasons for an increase in crime.... do not include the criminals. She started the 2nd reason with "we need accountability", oh but not by the criminals, by the leadership. What a maroon. Reminds me of AOC...letting someone with immature bar room political opinions play politician.

It shouldn't. Omar's a moron but so is anyone who thinks crime increases are the result of X number of bad people waking up one morning and deciding to do some crime instead of going to work. Crime is never crime per se; it's always downstream of social forces.

    Please love yourself.

That argument's way too complex for national politics.

      I was only joking

There are a lot of people in this world who have crime as a full time job.

I thought relentless shaming was a tool we use to prevent bad people from doing bad things. Maybe I was only thinking of the vaccination conversations.

          Education is extremely important.

No, you're right, it applies there, too. How's that working out, by the way?

I am sure shame plays a large role in preventing crime. In some cultures or families more than others.

As Aqua said, downstream of social and economic forces. It can be one’s best option. When I graduated puter school there were no jobs. None. So I went back to trafficking for a few months. It got me through until something opened up and I dropped it like a hot rock.
