@Jolly said in Good Deed For the Day: @Mik said in Good Deed For the Day: I think the cartel is scared shitless that the US may have finally had enough of their antics. Can't imagine that their president's admonition to Biden to not act in Mexico came out of nowhere. I hope we go in and kill the lot of them. Money. They'll gladly torch five of their own, as long as the money keeps flowing. Yes, and I think that’s what they’re afraid of.

Well, the ones who end up burning themselves up will make room for a few. "Oh, you lit your mattress on fire? Sucks to be you.".

@xenon said in Tik-Tok Bad: @kluurs said in Tik-Tok Bad: It is an amazing app - and while it initially was young person focused, there are now lots of people posting on various subjects - much like with FB groups. One can learn a lot - history, meal preparation, exercise, dance moves, medical information, bits of movies, etc. I follow a couple of former Julliard students, fitness counsel, and some political stuff. Oh yeah - a lot of interesting military stuff - history, demonstrations of equipment, etc. The information density is super high. It’ll pack a gourmet recipe into all the salient steps and visuals into a 30 second clip. I don’t use it myself - but the algorithm is very effective at condensing info. Yep. Teenage girls learn how to cut themselves very quickly.

He has been an idiot for a while. The thing is, he has done some good work, so you don't want him to be an idiot. But he is.

I don't understand having no transition time, to get the new owner and staff up to speed (BTW, what happened to all of the old staff?)

@89th said in Got your popcorn?: @jon-nyc said in Got your popcorn?: It would be nice to have a serious public inquiry into the lab leak hypothesis but I have a feeling that will be something of a sideshow and will be pursued only instrumentally to make government agencies look bad. It's all good. I'm sure there will be a big hollywood movie that explains it all soon enough. Would be a helluva script...

@LuFins-Dad said in The FBI destroys evidence and eavesdrops on attorney-client conversations: January 6th was bad. Very bad. But it was no threat to the republic. What’s happened since and as a response has been worse. Far worse, and is a danger to the republic. Thou speak sooth. And whoever doesn't see that is an idiot and should not be allowed to drool in public.

He would be told he is a nut person. He was told he was a nut person. He was executed for being a nut person.
