@George-K said in Feed the (black) bird: a KC-135 An FAA guy I worked with, Chris, was a pilot of a KC-135, which is a converted Boeing 707. He had a friend who was also a 707 pilot that flew with John Travolta on his 707. Chris was invited to fly the 707 with Travolta. Did I already tell you about how Travolta offered Chris a $5K watch in exchange for forbidden favors? Chris declined the offer. He stopped flying with Travolta when Travolta came within seconds of destroying the plane while singing a song about a dead pilot. The way Chris tells it, he actually prevented the crash, from the jump seat behind the pilot, by pushing the throttle with his right foot.

Sam is a homeless man that lives at the entrance to a local library. The mayor wants to get Sam away from the entrance to the library and has personally offered him assistance for housing or shelter. But Sam has always refused. He likes his situation. After months of negotiating, the mayor has a small victory. Sam has moved away from the entrance and is now living on the bench under a nearby tree. True story. What do you do when they don't want a job or housing?

Makes sense. I think this has been US (and most country's) policy for a long time. The head of the country is immune. Having this type of policy protects the US president also.

@Doctor-Phibes said in The Religion of Peace: Those eejits still celebrate the Battle of the Boyne, 1690, and talk about King Billy (William of Orange) as if he's still around. Yeah, but the Mohammedans have a thousand years' head start.

The guy had already been pardoned by Trump for other campaign finance violations you’d think he’d quit while he was ahead.

@Axtremus said in 880 Yards: Ugh … why would the prosecutor continue to prosecute even after Child Protective Services dropped the case? One would think CPS is the agency with the expertise in a case like this. Well, according to an attorney friend of mine, the best prosecutors have a Nazi streak in them.
