If it became the standard after the fact that would seem to be adequate defense.

@Renauda said in Borowitz on Pence: @Catseye3 Pence does somewhat resemble the renowned English actor, the late Robert Shaw*. among his many diverse roles he played the Bond villain, Grant, in From Russia with Love. I just cannot see Pence ever saying 'Here's to swimming with bow-legged women' as he drinks his bedtime cocoa.

@Renauda said in Nancy Pelosi called priests to perform 'exorcism': I had to use the Google translator for that. LOL. Glad to see that I'm not the only one that does that.

@Rainman Excellent response, Rainman. You are wise about such things.

The requirements for these fuel cans make them dangerous. There is a pretty good market in "unsafe" gas cans and nozzles because the CPSC design is so stupid!

@Doctor-Phibes said in Rejected: @Horace said in Rejected: He doesn't seem indoctrinated into any emotional truths, from what I've heard of him. If you define a lefty as being indoctrinated into emotional truths, then it's not particularly surprising that you can't find any reasonable lefties. You only have to accept that emotionally true narratives are the cornerstone of modern leftism. Which is true.

@George-K said in Speaking of vaccinations....: I’ve had shingles twice. The first time when I was 26, and the second about 4 years ago. First bout was awful, second not too bad. I got the 1st vaccination about 2 years ago. Achy, very achy, arm for about 3 days. No real systemic symptoms, but I’ve never had a local reaction to any vaccination like this one. Haven’t had the 2nd, but I’m hesitant. 2 years ago? Guess who gets to start over, buddy. Had both shots. Not fun, but worth it. Shingles are nasty and can leave permanent damage, especially if near the eyes. Blindness is no fun either.

It seems like that process would leave lots of worms behind. Aren't you supposed to just take a pill that kills them, and then poop them out?

METHODS: From January 2021 through February 2022, we prospectively collected blood from 16 patients who were hospitalized at Massachusetts General for Children or Boston Children’s Hospital for myocarditis, presenting with chest pain with elevated cardiac troponin T after SARS-CoV-2 vaccination. We performed extensive antibody profiling, including tests for SARS-CoV-2–specific humoral responses and assessment for autoantibodies or antibodies against the human-relevant virome, SARS-CoV-2–specific T-cell analysis, and cytokine and SARS-CoV-2 antigen profiling. Results were compared with those from 45 healthy, asymptomatic, age-matched vaccinated control subjects
