They're fling the mud as fast as they can, aren't they? Nothing like a combined, orchestrated effort.

@George-K LOL There are good reasons to have just one. The same is true for having more than one wife or girlfriend, or any multiple thereof. Lots of extra work to do that.

But you can still tell that it’s sexist because they show the girl smiling a lot more than the boy.

But on the other hand, a false negative is really no worse than not testing at all. Really no downside to testing. It will catch some people who are positive, even if only a small amount. (Having said that, I am among large gatherings and do not test any more)

No doubt an 80 year old Indiana Jones will save the world again. It’s Hollywood propaganda to make you feel better about having an 80 year old President.

I spent a couple of days with our large animal vet in Wisconsin. He always told me that cows are smarter than horses. "If a horse gets tangled in some barbed wire fencing he'll struggle like crazy until he bleeds out or gets too exhausted to fight. A cow will just stand there, knowing that, eventually, someone will show up to set it free."

@jon-nyc said in Fired for being white: Right, but the explicit racial element here makes it different. That's true. They explicitly said that his race is an issue. I wonder what his lawyers think. @Mik said in On the road again…: To Winston Salem for T-Day at The Princess’s place. I used to be a machine packing. Literally 3 minutes. That muscle has atrophied. As you get older, lots of things atrophy. Have a good trip!

@Aqua-Letifer The fall of Hong Kong to the Japanese in 1941 is, along with the Dieppe raid in 1943, painfully etched into the Canadian national consciousness.

That was fun. Got the first 16 (which I guess is easier since there are larger gaps early on). Some dates I'm surprised I still remembered so clearly, while other events I was WAY off on, such as the founding of the NSA or NATO.
