@jon-nyc said in Blue Light Photodynamic Therapy: I’m supposed to get this. If offered, use the hand-held battery operated fan to cool your face during treatment. The lady who did the treatment this time offered to spray my face with water a few times during the treatment. I don't think this was offered 2 years ago. Accept this offer.

@George-K said in We Were Wrong: @LuFins-Dad it was bound to happen - the realization that is. It was only a question of time. Oh, the “realization” can easily be dismissed. 80 year old woman… Doddering and a Boomer to boot. She doesn’t know what she’s talking about… And Daily Caller? Come on… You know what gets me? This feels like treating somebody with Bulimia by saying “You know, maybe you are a bit heavy… Let’s put you on diet pills and schedule a gastric bypass…”

@Doctor-Phibes said in Lunchables: @Jolly said in Lunchables: @Axtremus said in Lunchables: Michelle had good intention and Michelle put in the work to get the ball rolling. Then more and more of the industry picks it up, refine the implementation of the idea, cost-reduce it, scale it, more broadly market it, more widely and more efficiently distribute it, etc. Happy to see Lunchable plugging itself into the trend. Hopefully this will be a win-win for Lunchable and its consumers. Michelle's food was a bust, pure and simple. Another example of a heavy-handed, top-down approach that ignored reality in favor of an unobtainable goal. At least they switched from carrot sticks to carbon-neutral energy... You can lead an American to fruit and veg, but you can't make him eat them. [image: OIP.9Ksdzl7qqfkF6OQwbcbu7QHaHM?w=191&h=186&c=7&r=0&o=5&pid=1.7]

@89th said in GPT4 is smarter than most people: Let's give it a real world test, though. For example, what if you were at a corporate birthday party and they were handing out slices of cake and you received the last slice of cake to pass on noticing that everyone else had a slice except the person you're supposed to hand the slice to. Do you keep the slice for yourself, pass it on, or start googling for Office Space GIFs? I'd pass the cake on and make pointed remarks about the obesity epidemic. Then I'd spend the afternoon with my Russian friend, having a nice chat with HR. Maybe I'm a sociopath.

@LuFins-Dad said in Don't say Boys and Girls are different.: There are 2 genders. One that makes me sammiches and one that doesn’t. So there's actually only one gender.

@Jolly said in Will TuCa change the narrative?: Keep howling, but look at what you're talking about. Tucker has changed the narrative... No, he really hasn't. The people who buy into his bullshit were already buying into his bullshit. Did the Democrats try to unfairly make political capital out of the riot? Of course they did. Did Trump stooges try to play down the violence and make out that it was all Nancy Pelosi's fault? Of course they did. But let's not confuse Russia's Little Lord Haw-Haw with The Great Truthteller he pretends to be.

I remember during the 70's when the unions claimed they had the 4-day work week. Their time off for vacation, sick leave and personal days added up to 52 days. This was also at the time that Japan was crushing the auto industry. And Detroit was crushing itself.

@LuFins-Dad said in The Shrinking Trump: Yeah, I’ve been expecting this. They aren’t going to wait till the very last minute like the Dems did in 2020 when they finally rallied behind Biden. Heck, even Warren endorsed Joe… The thing is that Trump’s base is bigger than Bernie’s. The R’s can’t afford to let Trump have a lead going into April/May of 2024. So they need to rally behind DeSantis early and 1) hope they can swing enough of the moderate R’s like the Cheneys and the Romneys to support a DeSantis (that is likely too far to the right for them normally) AND pick off a couple percent of the solid Trump base. What do you think, @Jolly ? Can they bring you over to DeSantis in the primary? @Renauda s prediction of the next Republican President does seem a little more prophetic, though. I do have some concerns regarding DeSantis. @LuFins-Dad said in The Shrinking Trump: Yeah, I’ve been expecting this. I do have some concerns regarding DeSantis. My BIL lives outside of Jacksonville, DeSantis Central. He's real high on him. DeSantis has many policy positions in common with Trump. I could be persuaded. I do agree with your political observations. The wildcard in this game are the current Trump investigations and grand juries. If charges are brought - especially if they are mickey mouse - Trump may experience a rallying effect...The Swamp is out to get him, so he must be a menace to them. It guarantees him the primaries. So, if the economy is in the dumper and inflation has not abated, Trump could have a shot at reelection, even with all the legal stuff.
