@Axtremus said in Flail Chest: The rib cage broken? Yes. With ribs broken in two separate locations, there's no support and when inspiration occurs, the "flail" segment moves into the chest rather than expanding with the rest of the chest wall. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flail_chest Flail chest is a life-threatening medical condition that occurs when a segment of the rib cage breaks due to trauma and becomes detached from the rest of the chest wall. Two of the symptoms of flail chest are chest pain and shortness of breath.[1] It occurs when multiple adjacent ribs are broken in multiple places, separating a segment, so a part of the chest wall moves independently. The number of ribs that must be broken varies by differing definitions: some sources say at least two adjacent ribs are broken in at least two places,[2] some require three or more ribs in two or more places.[3] The flail segment moves in the opposite direction to the rest of the chest wall: because of the ambient pressure in comparison to the pressure inside the lungs, it goes in while the rest of the chest is moving out, and vice versa. This so-called "paradoxical breathing"[4] is painful and increases the work involved in breathing.

As I think about it, maybe not. Biden needs the oil. The country needs the oil. But he also needs the Greenies. If he doesn't appeal, the leases are given, but at least he can point to the mean ol' judge that wouldn't let him say "No".

The author seems to think there is power in merging long Covid with chronic fatigue. I wouldn’t have thought so. I thought the medical establishment shrugs off chronic fatigue.

@LuFins-Dad said in Lowe's Approach to Retail Theft: Oops, looks like Lowe’s needs to pay these guys more… And train them a little better https://twitter.com/ClownWorld_/status/1705680055228125513 Dumb to steal. Dumb to pick a mower with a bagging system. Dumb to steal a Crapsman. The easiest way to load a rider like that is two guys on front, load the front wheels on the tailgate, then both guys on back to load the rest of the mower. That front most likely has a cast iron front axle and 20hp+ engine. Heavy.

It takes a while to get the hang of it, but now I wouldn’t want to be without. You see all this food detritus going into the sink and it inspires you to do it more often. I also have a lot less tartar at cleaning time.

Offer him either a 1% finder’s fee from the winnings or lock him up for theft.

Same here.

Harrison was a rare exception. The guy spent years as a practice squad guy between Pittsburgh and Baltimore, but he kept investing every single penny he could into strength and conditioning and rehabilitation. He cracked a lineup with Pittsburgh during an injury issue, and his pay quadrupled. He kept investing everything into his body. He came back to the team the next training camp and played 4-5 years at a HOF level. It absolutely is an amazing story.

@LuFins-Dad said in Ophelia: Luke is being a smart ass sending us gideos of the wet driveway at his GF’s and talking about the tremendous flooding. He points out a puddle and states “that’s standing water… Dad told me not to drive through standing water…” Is 21 too old for corporal punishment? You are responsible for him being in this world, so I see no reason you can't take him out of it...

That's awesome. Young folk today probably don't appreciate how much Star Wars shared with the cheesy old sci-fi movies.

@Axtremus said in BOHICA!: Among Disney+, Apple TV, YouTube Premium, and Netflix, I find Amazon's programming to be the least interesting. I rarely watch anything on Prime Video. Prime membership for me is all about the "free" shipping. :man-shrugging: I look at it as lagniappe. A few of the series are pretty decent, such asReacher or Mrs. Maizel. Plus, TNF football and a few sports events. And I can usually wade through the movies and find something. But it's usually not for the latest and greatest.

@LuFins-Dad said in College football is racist.: So yeah, I believe in systemic racism. I’m sure @Jolly does as well. You forgot Miguel Estrada's nomination to the appellate court which was blocked because he was Latino. Over a decade ago an inner office memorandum from Senator Durbin’s office that was not intended to be made public referred to a George W. Bush judicial nominee, Miguel Estrada, like this; “especially dangerous, because he has a minimal paper trail, he is Latino, and the White House seems to be grooming him for a Supreme Court appointment.”

@Mik said in ChatGPT fails: Of course there is. Many of them. OK, if we count the censors (the folks who keep updating the rules for what sensitive topics ChatGPT should refuse to engage in and what offensive words ChatGPT should avoid using), then yes.
