The Thames has never been considered clean. But there’s really no excuse for it to be a flowing cesspool in this day and age. Not with the technology for water management available.

My expectations must be low I was pretty happy they forcibly removed them.
Yes, but they should not have been there in the first place.
(I was also glad they were removed also)
@George-K LOL Probably true.
This is my theory (based on absolutely nothing LOL):
No back up: 50% chance of loss of data
One on site back up: 10% chance of loss of data
Two back up (one on site and one off site): 1% chance of loss of data

The piece went out of its way to not state or imply the gender of the child.
I assume they do this to protect the child victim, to keep the child victim as anonymous as possible. Unless exposing the gender of the child victim serves some greater public interest, it's good that they keep it hidden from public view.

Hopefully she is not saying something that is as dumb as it sounds. Maybe she is talking about stores that are selling drugs, etc and something happens due to that.
No. I thought the same. It is exactly what she stated.

The Duck of Death is such a great line
The first time it's said, you assume that Little Bill just can't read. Then, you realize he's just saying it, repeatedly, to piss Bob off.

Never heard of it in Ohio.
Looking at Jolly's Wikipedia link, I don't see anything about this being a tradition in Northern Eastern European countries either. Being of Lithuanian/Russian heritage, I just assumed it was.
It's a strong tradition in many areas of South Louisiana.
And it can be very competitive... Guinea eggs boiled point down in coffee grounds are very good ...
Also around here, we have quite a few families of Czech descent...They paint eggs.
