Maybe the mainstream racism narratives keep them up at night due to the psychological stress. Actually I bet you could come to that exact scientific conclusion.

@LuFins-Dad said in Let's go shopping in Alaska: And there’s no corresponding increase in pay rates… Yeah, that's kind of weird. Engineers are pulling in less than $100K. I go to this committee twice a year that visits around the US, and they keep threatening to have us spend a week in Anchorage. I have no idea why we would want to do that, particularly since we meet in October and February/March.

Just a note about the lad's 30-06 reload. Semi rifles are more finicky than bolts. Lots of them require small-base dies to reload and I prefer a crimp on a bullet cannelure.

@George-K Trust me, he enjoys himself immensely. And when he catches you lying or crawfishing, the game is on.

Another thing... How does "gender destroying affirming" surgery happen without a parent's consent? It's not like you drop your kid off, and when you pick them up they've had a mastectomy or a castration.

@taiwan_girl said in Now, something different...: @Jolly Thanks!! Maybe pick one up and try it? Mass produced instruments are chromatic scale and you can pick it up much faster than a guitar. You get really good, you might want to go to a diatonic scale harp or convert your own. An Oscar Schmidt from a quality outfit: https://www.elderly.com/products/oscar-schmidt-os21ce-electrc-autoharp?variant=26854261653568 [image: 1_13_127.jpg?v=1645722477&width=1100] Beware of becoming pretty good on one, they're like guitars. You may only be satisfied with more resonance and bottom end. https://shop.daigleharp.com/collections/daigle-autoharps-for-sale/products/copy-of-tlc-w-s-21-chord-daigle-autoharp-4221930ws

I don't post much but I do try to keep up with the conversations since coming back. I do play a lot of catch-up sometimes between work and all. I do like all the interesting and funny topics and you all too.

I would be shocked if even both siders and political nihilists didn’t admit to the difference Trump made to the existential threat narratives.

In fairness, you can do it with a picture that identifies you as a certain phenotype of human. It's just that the estimate gets more and more noisy as the data gets more abstract. DNA test might be way more specific. Of course this DNA prediction stuff can and will happen, and of course it's going to be highly accurate, to the extent the prediction models are as nuanced and complicated as DNA is. My favorite bit of parenting wisdom I've seen is that you shouldn't knock yourself out too much, because your kid will be what they will be, as long as you provide some basic parenting essentials.

My sympathy metre for the perp’s parents checked out long ago particularly when it was made public that they had been called to the school the very day of the shooting and chose not to do anything about their disturbed teenager. That they also provided the means for said mentally disturbed teen to terrorize and murder his classmates and teachers, leads to me to total apathy as to their well being for their life in prison and beyond. I didn’t sense much in the way of remorse expressed by either guilty as charged parent, though I did however sense a fair amount of self justification and attempts at hand washing other day before the sentencing was handed down.
