https://www.tastingtable.com/1617400/dirty-steak-cooking-method-president-eisenhower/ ..this former president's preparation preference was starkly different than most. He'd impress (or sometimes worry) guests by cooking meat right atop coal embers that smoldered on the White House lawn. It's an unusual, but still practiced cooking style called dirty steak, which yields surprisingly spectacular results. While the method requires some skilled grilling to perfect, when done well, the meat turns out delicious. The blackened external char is not only edible, but tasty, and seals in a beautifully juicy interior that's often on the rarer side. With such an abundance of surface area contact, the charcoal selection is important, but it also imparts a delectable flavor.

Might be a language thing, but I don't see anything wrong with the article Some far right commentators have long argued that Democratic elites were plotting to replace President Biden. Now those commentators say that they will be proved correct.

Yup, both sides look for short term approval rather than the tough long term solutions.

Yeah. Rachel did a photo shoot with her almost 20 years ago. I thought she was a fossil then.

I read it forty years ago. Thought that it was an excellent book. Still have my copy along with the complete Hornblower series.

Now, tell me again why you don't just give these guys a fair trial and if guilt can be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, allow them one appeal and then end their miserable lives. I don't pet rabid dogs and I'm not an advocate for letting a festering cancer grow.

@Doctor-Phibes said in Digital Self Harm: There's 67 million people in the UK. Most of them live in the bottom half. NOTICE: Thread drift.................. I thought it was interesting that about 150 years ago, the population of the UK and Ireland were about the same. Ireland population today is about the same and hasn't grown at all, while the UK has tripled or more.

@George-K said in NATO presser: There's no question that many of the hosts (Hannity) on Fox are pro-Trump. But does Fox have the same boot-licking, tounge-bathing hosts such as the likes of O'Donnel, Scarborough, etc? Not those two, or Reid, either.

@jon-nyc said in What I learned today: In rare cases it happens in humans too. https://www.mcgill.ca/oss/article/medical-student-contributors-did-you-know/how-have-twins-different-fathers Yes, it is possible to have twins with different biological fathers. The scientific term for this anomaly is “heteropaternal superfecundation,” and it’s super cool. I’m not sure having a ho for a mother would be “super cool”…

Nice. I expect to get involved in some kind of election dispute. You can put up a political sign 30 days before an election and 24 hours after. The rule says sign - not flags. So we already have a couple Trump flags. A flag is not a sign. And, of course, no politics or religion allowed in the Facebook Group.
