Intersting article. Thanks Jolly. Chinese banks loan money to governments that then give that money to Chinese construction companies and pay the loan back to the bank over time. This means the money essentially never leaves China, "while the bill is ultimately footed by taxpayers in other countries." This is becoming a big problem and countries and now starting to realize this.

The majority of Asian education system (especially north Asia) is based on memory learning and group learning. It does not encourage individual thinking. That is why the US still leads in innovation. If things are going along they are supposed to, Asian companies and people do great. But, when things go different from what is expected, it is more difficult to react and adjust.
