@George-K said in "Don't work for Joe:" Pelosi and Hoyer?: @LuFins-Dad said in "Don't work for Joe:" Pelosi and Hoyer?: Nancy has no margin to work with. And she knows it. Wow. I wasn't aware of the other races. I knew it was going to be tight, but this tight? [Larry mode] If the GOP wins the House, Impeach 46! [/Larry mode] The biggest problem for the moderates is that they are the ones that pay for the extremes. AOC, Omar, Talib, Pelosi, Presley, et al are safe. They can be as out there as they want and they will win re-election over and over. It’s the moderates that pay the price... I wouldn’t be durprised to see the Blue Dog Coalition shrink to under 15 members...

72 million votes is your business case for 72 million customers. How do you keep them between now and Jan 20th. How do you buy insurance for the GA Senate seats. That’s all you need to know. Now, carry on with the conspiracy theories.

The short answer I can give you on my phone is “because there are infinite points on a circle”. If you want a longer explanation I can do that later.

I always thought those little bells that people wear were nice, although I'm not totally convinced they'd be as good as drowning out the screaming as people seem to think.

That was a misinterpretation based on a disingenuous headline. He wants the vaccine, it’s the distribution plan he doesn’t like. I’ve yet to find a really detailed description of his concerns to try to get to the bottom of it. Is it really about prioritization or is it about funding? Or something else? If he does file suit I’ll at least get my answer.

Anyway the test could exhibit cross reactivity with a very similar virus?

@AndyD said in Shocking: @taiwan_girl said in Shocking: I don’t think President Trump is racist. I think he looks out for himself above all others, and if you can help him, he will like you. If you can’t help him or he feels that you have somehow crossed him, then he won’t like you. But I don’t think it has anything to do with race To be absolutely fair, there's nothing in the POTUS job description about having to care for people. He fulfills his contract but don't expect anything other than poor customer service. Nor is it written that he also has to seem like he gives a shit. Oh, bugger off. You don't gave a clue about how Trump treats people out of camera view. You don't know about flights he has paid for, tuition he has paid for or funerals he has paid for, because he usually doesn't talk about it and the media usually doesn't cover it. As for how Trump treats the general public, I think he does a pretty decent job. His viewpoint is usually economic, which does have its failings, but to say he doesn't about care us, is just wanker BS.

@Axtremus said in Durham: How do we know if this so-called “familiar source” is real and trustworthy? I have no idea, but you can ask Comey, McCabe and Steele. Perhaps they would have some insights as to where to get the lowdown on real and trustworthy.

Yes, I saw that there are a couple of those out there. I for one find these clips embarrassing. In my filter bubble, the clips have mostly received ridicule, but that may be different in the general public.

@LuFins-Dad said in Time for an update....: Crap, now I have to go take a Benadryl. When Mrs. George and I were first married, we had two cats - Sadie and Oscar. They were both domestic shorthairs (DSH). Great cats. After about 6 months of marriage, she started having flare-ups with her asthma. It was so bad that she was giving herself injections of epinephrine to stop the asthmatic attacks. Ever since that time, she has been, understandably, afraid of cats. We had many pets since then, and all of them were not a problem with her allergies (other than a cockatiel). Our two dogs, (also) Oscar and Oliver were not a problem. Neither was Sidney. In 2012, D3 had to re-home The Bee. The Bee is a domestic longhair(DLH). We accepted her into our home on the condition that, if Mrs. George had issues with allergies, D3 would have to find somewhere else to home her. Despite the fact that The Bee is a very difficult animal, there have been zero allergy issues. Because of our experience with her, when Oliver the dog died, we agreed to adopt Maggie (another domestic longhair). She's had no allergy problems with Maggie in the house. So, based on our experience with The Bee and Maggie we felt comfortable getting Boris. Mrs. George is fine with him as well. All that said, this is one family's experience. In our house, it seems that DLH cats are less allergenic than DSH cats. I should add that D4 has a DSH, and her presence bothers Mrs. George. Go figger.

No, part of the process is to break the ground beef and vegetables down into tiny tiny pieces. I think it would make a good ragu, but it would not be Bolognese. It’s delicious by the way. Probably thue best I have made.

Interesting. How have the they decided upon the area of distribution? For example, I see that Novavax is mainly going to India.
