@jon-nyc said in Any validity?: @jon-nyc said in Any validity?: My in-person vote took two attempts in our reader this year. In fairness, I must add that my vote met Trump's working definition of fraudulent. It was early, and it was for Biden. May you be well-taxed for your efforts.

@George-K said in Dersh Speaks: Andy McCarthy had a related analysis. To get the courts to recognize this it's a really high hurdle. To succeed you have to prove Fraud occurred (presumably a relatively easy thing to do) Prove that the outcome would be altered by the elimination of those fradulent votes. That's a LOT more difficult. Ted Cruz said much the same thing.

Not really an escalation, more of a turnabout https://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/10/us/trump-election-protests.html The protests on Wednesday came just hours after Hillary Clinton, in her ... page titled “Not My President” called for protesters to gather on Inauguration Day https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-inauguration-protests/violence-flares-in-washington-during-trump-inauguration-idUSKBN1540J7

Only 5 who were registered as lobbyists in the last year though. Out of 500+ appointees? Honestly I would have guessed a much higher number than the 5 or the 40. I'm guessing a decade or two ago it would have been a much larger number.

Yeah. On the plus side there's going to be a recount as it is.

@Aqua-Letifer said in An interesting conversation I overheard...: @Larry said in An interesting conversation I overheard...: For example, anti Semitic. They believe Republicans are anti Semitic. Yet they believe Israel is a bunch of devil's for mistreating those poor poor "palestinians", they think moving the US embassy in Israel was done to hurt "palestinians" and help mean old Israel, the peace deals Trump worked out between Israel and other Arab nation is bad..... the truth is, THEY are the ones who are antisemitic. Some Jewish communities are catching on, though, and they're bringing this to light. It going to be interesting to see how the militant left grapples with those in the Jewish community who are calling out this behavior. So far they haven't gone so far as to adopt an overall anti-Jewish mindset, but I wonder what's going to happen in the next few years. Trump did pretty well with Florida Jews. Those are going to be the older guys, the sons and the daughters of Jews who well remember the Holocaust and know what real anti-Semitism. is.

@Axtremus said in Does trump fire Fauci?: @Aqua-Letifer said in Does trump fire Fauci?: Would firing Fauci even matter at this point? It'll inflame a few people but Fauci's the guy, whether you want him to be or not. He's who people want to listen to. He gets fired and starts his own YouTube channel, I doubt anything would really change. If fired, he will be invited into the Biden transition team. Likely.

The problem states that you will be the last seated. Also if the problem were what you are outlining, there would be a 75% chance you’d get your seat. Because even when you are after the Free Spirit, there’s still a 50% chance you’d end up in your own seat.

@George-K said in No turkey for you!: @Larry said in No turkey for you!: I read somewhere that there's been some discussion about auto insurance - if you're in an accident and you weren't driving for an "essential purpose" your auto 8nsurance will be invalid. I believe that was in Great Britain. Your insurance will not be invalid, but they will not cover any liability for that particular trip. The UK lockdowns have been way more restrictive than anything in the US across the board, with the exception of school attendance, where I think pretty much all kids have been attending 5 days a week as normal. They still managed to screw it up, of course - the perception is that a bunch of southern assholes have been allowing their own friends to get away with murder whilst they force the northerners to stay indoors. Well, OK, that's the northerners perception.

Just let it play out. If it is baseless as you say then the system will have been proven accurate. Shutting it down now will cause more damage to voter confidence as evidenced by the Democrats screaming about 2000 to this day.
