@George-K said in Tonight's dinner - burgers: @LuFins-Dad , I LOVE NY Strip Steak. Mrs. George is a filet person, but we manage. Next time I make steak, I'm going to sear it in some bacon grease because bacon. Is that cardiologist approved bacon grease?

@taiwan_girl said in An Old Interview: @Aqua-Letifer Is "drafting" so much helpful that it is better to be in second place before you start going fast? Drafting is huge. But for track racing, it's more about capitalizing on opportunities. It's till very weird, even without the drafting. Lots of strategery that I'm pretty sure even the riders don't fully understand once they're in it.

It can sometimes feel like Steele is beating the same old drum or otherwise preaching to the choir. Meanwhile, the problems he discusses have only got worse. Just today I heard John McWhorter comment that Steele basically wrote the same book again and again, but it remained necessary to repeat each time he published. I’ve only read “The Content of our Character” and that was back when it came out, some 30 years ago,

If this isn't damaging to Joe Biden, why has he been hiding in his basement ever since the story broke, with 2 weeks to go until election day? It's only going to get worse folks, and there are more shoes about to drop....

@Rainman said in My Mom Died Yesterday: Just wanted to thank you all for your kind words. Funeral was on Saturday, really glad we had nice weather. The cemetery was very proactive with Covid protocols, they limited the number in the chapel to 20, although the capacity was 200. Minister spoke in both Estonian and English. All things considered, it was a very nice service for my mom. She directed the Esto choir for 49 years, amazing how many close friends she made over the years. I'm so impressed the minister used both Estonian and English. He knew your mom would appreciate that. Sounds like he loved your mom, too, as well he should, with her directing the choir for nearly half a century. Even the weather cooperated. I'd say your mom has some very good connections. I think I would have liked her very much, too.

Any notion that anything positive would come as a result of Biden winning is ridiculous.

Yeah this is to energize the base I think. And a minor warning shot over the bow of google. The fundamental problem is what the administration is angry about isn't really antitrust. But they can't really sue them for unfair editing practices. This is one of those cases of pretending they're a nail because all you got is a hammer.

I laughed too TG, it was hilarious. He did what he had to do to get his name back on the grid though. That is the name of the game, and everyone is learning.
