Someone didn’t get funded by Barda and escalated to the press.

And a Pharma didn’t want it? Or they didn’t want to sell?

It takes 1.5 beers to properly lay and start a charcoal fire and bring the grill to desired temp. It takes .25 beers to bring a propane grill to temp. Advantage - Charcoal

In our school district, it became policy that an employee could not give a compliment unless first asking the person if it would be OK to give a compliment.
Absolutely illogical. Nuts. The change was forced by an assistant superintendent, the same one that filed a grievance against me.
She weighs like 1,000 lbs., no makeup ever, frumpy in dress, but knows how to manipulate the system to institute radical leftwing nonsense. And then enforces with a big smile. Very few people in this world that I hold in complete contempt. She's one.

    That explains a lot, Rainman.

I would hope that everybody knows the virus is capable of killing people regardless of age, politics, or favorite soft drink. Given that, these anecdotes will exist. I see no reason for a 'wow'. But then I'm particularly bad at deriving meaning from anecdote.

Interestingly at the 35 age level you would find the same number or more flu deaths. Of course they don’t make the news. And that’s with a vaccine.

See, that fact, if it is indeed fact, is way more interesting than an anecdote. To me. But not to most people.

You should do some math. I calculated 100% of those 35 and other getting Covid and multiplied by the IFR Of those 35 and under and my argument still holds.

Well he did have an undeniable point in his original take, though of course it's monstrously inhuman. The economic benefit of everybody dying at 75 would be seismic.

I've known plenty of managers who play really crazy mind games, even ones on my lowly level. Some people just love tweaking other people, and a position of authority is real easy to abuse, particularly if you don't like somebody.

I find one of the hardest things about managing is being fair to people I don't particularly get on with.

I have to say, though, the Jewish-German thing would get you fired where I work, or at the very least given 'sensitivity training'.

Along with the water problems in our mailn line, (we had two water main breaks across the street this week. Luckily the county had to fix them). We also had to buy a new washer. We picked an LG after some research. I don't go for front load washers.

This is what we selected. I do not need nor want an appliance that is connected to the internet.

Florida man and his sons charged with selling toxic chemical as a coronavirus cure.
    https://lite.cnn.com/en/article/h_f0a45c51f5c7440c37015449c3e7d9bc

A Florida man and his three sons are facing criminal charges for allegedly selling a toxic solution to tens of thousands of people as a cure for Covid-19.

Mark Grenon, 62, and his sons, Jonathan, 34, Joseph, 32, and Jordan, 26, all of Bradenton, Florida, supposedly manufactured, promoted, and sold "Miracle Mineral Solution" (MMS), a chemical solution containing sodium chlorite and water, the criminal complaint affidavit says.

The men sold the toxic bleach under the guise of Genesis II Church of Health and Healing, an entity they allegedly created in an attempt to avoid government regulation, the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida said in a statement.

They've been charged with criminal contempt, conspiracy to defraud the United States and conspiracy to violate the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act for their alleged actions, the US Attorney's Office said.
