As has everyone else. They still have the best information available.

I think one of the things that Taiwan did well is we tried to take the politics out of it. When the crisis first started, the Taiwan CDC was "put in charge" to do what was needed. Some of the things that they did would probably not have been did if politicians had to make the call.

Good point.

"He died of a heart attack after he got shot in the chest" might be classified as a cardiac arrest, but the proximate cause is something different.

I think we don't know enough about this virus, even now, to really have a reasonable conversation (did I just say that?) about what the "cause of death" is.

OTOH, I saw a story about a guy in Florida who died after a motorcycle crash. He tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, and he was listed as a "COVID-19" mortality.

Go figure.
