@mik said in Christmas pickle ornaments and other holiday treats from Minnesoooooooota:

No wai! The pickle is German, but we have one too. Whoever finds it gets to be Santa in the morning.

It's supposed to be German, but it's a really big thing here in Minnesoooooota evidently. For the Epiphany party, which we used to do every year around January 6th, all the kids had to find their pickle on the tree. Yes, each child had a pickle with their name written in gold. When all were found, each child got a present. It was fun to see them work together to find all the pickles. LOL

Mr. Trump is the worst president ever because he doesn't like this give-away

This is certainly one of the most brilliant observations ever

Thank you so much for posting it here

Like most great literature written by men, it was probably written by his wife.

@jon-nyc it’s reasonable to conclude that in isolation Trump’s unprovable allegations of election fraud are a worse precedent than electors abusing faithlessness to express their affiliation with a pop culture mob of hatred against the winner of the election. I did not bring the example up in the hopes of drawing an equivalence between the two, but rather to present an example of something ignored and memory holed - to the extent few people even knew of the scheme - in service of the widespread mindlessly destructive social idea know as TDS. All that said, I do not anticipate claims of election fraud to be as big a thing going forward as they are with Trump. This is an unfortunate bump in the road, a predictable one upon his defeat. You give him more credit than I do if you think the example he is setting, which will fail and which would cost a more normative person reputation, will lead future politicians to follow suit. You can feel free to say I told you so in 4 years as we see how the next loser handles their loss.

You’d figure that after seeing videos of earlier versions, the porch pirates would have learnt to open packages through a big plastic bag.

[gripe] When comparing two things, can’t they just put the whole thing in a two column table form and be done with it? That would be a lot more efficient than reading paragraphs. [/gripe]

    The White House Statement:

"Stephanie Mohr — President Trump granted a full pardon to Stephanie Mohr. Her clemency is supported by the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund and the Fraternal Order of Police.

Ms. Mohr was a police officer in Prince George’s County where she achieved the distinction of being the first female canine handler in the Department’s history. She served 10 years in prison for releasing her K-9 partner on a burglary suspect in 1995, resulting in a bite wound requiring ten stitches. Officer Mohr was a highly commended member of the police force prior to her prosecution. Today’s action recognizes that service and the lengthy term that Ms. Mohr served in prison."
