Last year was about normal. We set out a table with packaged snacks set out a few feet from the porch. Worked fine.

Our kiddo made out crazily. Each house was decked out, most had a theme going, and families were hanging out outside. Trick-or-treaters started forming ad-hoc groups among themselves. We had a pair of gray cats we bought from a couple in Ohio when we lived there. Turns out they were half Russian blue. Must be why they were almost free. They were really beautiful, if not pure breds. They were named after the Fords, Henry and Edsel.
