@doctor-phibes said in The Great Songwriters: @george-k said in The Great Songwriters: (Schubert wrote more than 600 songs and he was dead before he reached age 32) In general, it's fair to say that the output, training and knowledge of classical composers puts the current generation of characters to shame. If you're talking about today's pop music, I agree.

@brenda said in Meanwhile in Michigan ...: @mark said in Meanwhile in Michigan ...: Those radiators look awesome! Well, I am sure they will when you are done with them. Post pics during the process and of course the results. I'll try to remember to post pics during the process. Sometimes I just keep moving forward and forget to take pics. They'll look their best when in place in the bathroom, and that will be a long while yet. Gotta finish the shower (hubby project) and tile the floor. It's been a long project, very long. Good thing we have the main bathroom upstairs by the bedrooms. We have had the master bedroom bath out of commission for years. Just the bath tub/shower. the rest of the bathroom works just fine. The fault of laziness on my part having another full bath, and 2 additional showers available. lol

@taiwan_girl said in What’s going on in Jersey?!: @Jolly Interesting comment, (though I have no idea what is happening in New Jersey). I dont think that the Democrats will change things, same way as the Republics do not want to change things after the 2020 election. Almost like the "sunk cost" theory. I have so much invested in this particular position/person/strategy, etc., that I cannot change now. While I think there’s some truth to that, I also think some of the more moderate Dems will make some adjustments. My bet is you will see the infrastructure bill get passed first despite the Progressive roadblock and we will likely see a further reduced Build Back Better plan, but there will still be a Build Back Better plan.

I think we will see more of that. China is such a big market and difficult for a business to ignore, but alot of the things that mainland China does almost seems like they are trying to isolate themselves. Other companies will determine it is just not worth the hassle to be there.

Not that I expect it to mean anything to anybody else, but I gotta make the record of how much I hate the 'Let's Go Brandon' meme. Hate it. I need it to go away. 'Let's Go!' is Brady's battle cry, much respected in the football arena, long established, and now adopted by the Bucs as their own. I hate that it's being abused by every asshole in the country this way. Rant over -- unless the occasion to rant some more about it resurfaces.

The virus has never been found in its supposed host, evan after intense efforts to do so. This has never happened before in epidemiology. The Wuhan lab was actively engaged in Gain Of Function research. SARS-Cov-2 has a double CGG sequencing, likely inserted by CRISPER technology, commonly used to make viruses more transmissible or more lethal. That sequencing in genetic manipulation is a well known technique. Double CGG has never been found in a coronavirus, until COVID. The Chinese knew what they had, shortly after the pandemic started in Wuhan. Witness the military shooting people in the streets and apartment doors being welded shut. Also witness how they have tried mightily, through disinformation or coercion to spike any story about the virus being created in Wuhan. Yeah, I'm 90% convinced.

Why Mexico? He wasn’t born until 2009. Back in 07 we hadn’t even decided to have one yet, and it seemed like we wouldn’t. I like Mexico, lived there 2 years in the 90s.
