He said something stupid, regardless of his bona fides.

    Hardly a rare occurrence.

    Down here, they are.

    https://www.ncsl.org/research/health/fetal-homicide-state-laws.aspx

At least 29 states have fetal homicide laws that apply to the earliest stages of pregnancy ("any state of gestation/development," "conception," "fertilization" or "post-fertilization"); these are indicated below with an asterisk (*).

$10K seems a lot if the awning is meant to last 15 yrs. But if it's meant to last 30, then it seems fair.

For me the biggest concern would be how loud would it be when it rains.

Not to nit pick, but the ideological capture of universities, media outlets, and corporate HR departments by the illiberal left is very much a Gramscian turn.

A company currying favor with press outlets not so much.

What is the point of capturing institutions if you don't have a propaganda machine to further the cause?

Why would you exclude companies -- especially Big Tech and massively wealthy social influencers -- from the gramscian analysis?

No i wouldn’t. But the Gramscian march is about committed ideologues taking over the institutions from the inside, not currying favor from other companies through contracts or payments.

Why not? Once they’ve gained control of the institutions and the wealth, why not just buy out any opposition or anyone willing to be a paid agent ?

I don’t see the left concerned about scruples over such things.

I've made it a policy to never watch a movie trailer for any movie I'm remotely interested in.

Same here. I am very anti-spoiler.

Kind of weird for her to be so aggressively defensive of legalizing the act of ending a human life.

Sorry @Aqua-Letifer for the poor grammaring in that sentence. Too lazy to rewrite.

That’s why I always use my own cables and chargers whenever I can. Be it rental cars or hotels or airport waiting areas or airplanes, many of them provide USB charging ports but just for peace of mind I prefer to use my own charger plugged into an AC outlet. Much, much harder to electrically hack through the transformer.
