@kluurs said in What pop songs ruin your brain?: Is there a particular earworm that once you hear it, you need to find a brick wall to bounce your head against to make it stop? Mentioned it here a couple weeks ago that Artie Shaw’s 1939 recording of Kurt Weil’s All the Things You Are tends to loop. It’s actually a great tune. More recently though I watched the Edgar Wright documentary The Sparks Brothers. It’s very well done and worth the watch. As a result though I have had an ear worm medley of sorts of Sparks tunes from their *Kimono My House * album from the 1970s.

I think Bari Weiss told that story in her column. ETA: Yeah, it's in the Post's story. Where does democracy die, again?

I can relate. I don't think anything is as bad or destructive as flooding. God Bless them.

And their routers were the absolute best. They do make the saw above with a magnesium plate for about $70, which would be better. One thing it does have, that many cheap saws don't have, is metal blade guards...Having seen a carbide tip go flying, I want metal between me and the blade, not plastic.

So whose welfare do you focus on when you have a serial killer? If you put him in genpop he will kill again.

The leadership recognizes they don't want to piss off a large section of their party over nothing.

There is such a thing as a "false elector". This was talked about a good bit last November and December. As for the second point, there is only so much money and so much time. Candidates campaign where their time and money is best spent. Trump did campaign in California, but not much.
