A little boy, his mother a Jew, his father black:

Boy: Dad, am I more black, or more Jewish?
    Dad: why do you ask?
Boy: well... Tommy has a bike for sale, and I'm trying to decide if I should beat him up on the price or just steal it...

I'm working next Monday, so one of the gals can have her heart cath. The first Pfizer knocked her on her ass. Tachycardia and left axial pain. On the booster - remember vaxx or don't work - the infection control nurse shot half the vaccine in a trash can. Same response, just not as pronounced.

This heart cath is coming about eight weeks after the second shot.

I'm sure the vaxx had nothing to do with a healthy 53 year-old having cardiac problems...

Since this wrench was right at arms reach when I read this thread, I googled Sears wrench no 30873.

Seems it’s labeled on eBay and other sites as a “vintage wrench”.

Never knew the concept existed. Vintage wrench. Know some vintage wenches. But wrenches?

Want to be shocked? Look at old woodworking tools like planes.

    https://apnews.com/article/business-us-news-manhattan-andrew-cuomo-judiciary-c6ac8d83fe68b174a79904b039532229?utm_campaign=SocialFlow&utm_source=Twitter&utm_medium=AP

A legislative investigation released Monday found “overwhelming evidence” that former Gov. Andrew Cuomo engaged in sexual harassment and ordered state workers to help produce his book during work hours.

The report also found that Cuomo’s executive chamber “substantially revised” a state report to exclude deaths of nursing home residents at hospitals to boost Cuomo’s reputation.

In March, the Assembly Judiciary Committee hired a Manhattan law firm, Davis Polk & Wardwell, to investigate whether there were grounds to impeach Cuomo.

Cuomo, a Democrat, resigned in August to avoid a likely impeachment trial in the wake of another investigation that found he sexually harassed at least 11 women. That investigation was led by two independent attorneys selected by state Attorney General Letitia James, also a Democrat.

The Assembly investigators said they reviewed that sexual harassment investigation, as well as about 600,00 pages of documents gathered by Davis Polk that ranged from photographs to emails to recordings of phone calls to video recordings.

    Heh. The assembly investigators: "LOLGF."

Cuomo has demanded that Assembly investigators hand over all their evidence against him, but Judiciary Committee members say that Cuomo isn’t entitled to that evidence.

“In the face of an impeachment trial, the former Governor chose to resign, not to contest the available evidence and confront witnesses in that legal forum,” the report released Monday said. “Having foregone that opportunity, he is not entitled to the production of any further evidence from this Committee.”

The people themselves are voting with their U-Hauls. After the Civil War and during the early 20th century, Americans left the South in droves to the wide-open new West and industrialized North. Now again they are packing up—but this time to get away from the bastions of old Union liberality. People are fleeing the bright lights and supposed cultural dynamism of old New York and Chicago and “enlightened” newer cities such as Los Angeles and San Francisco.

What once crippled the antebellum and postbellum Old South were obsessions with race that infected every aspect of life. Like the Soviet commissariat, such one-drop fixations ultimately stagnated social life and eroded economic efficacy.

    Supposedly attributed to Solzhenitsyn.

    But other sources say different:

One could nitpick and say that physical lengths are discrete and not continuous (Planck length etc), but I won't. That would be ridiculous.
