@bachophile said in Leading from behind... AGAIN.: @Larry https://www.energy.gov/eere/vehicles/articles/fotw-1189-june-7-2021-us-net-petroleum-imports-negative-2020 Actually according to this, 2020 was the first time in 70 years that the US exported more than it imported Imports peaked in 2005. I think the republicans were in power? But this is a government website so maybe it’s suspect No, it's correct. And it's what I said - 2 years ago we exported more oil than we importef.

Great Pyrenees. Wonderful dogs. I admire a working dog. You raise a GP from a puppy with a herd of goats or sheep, and I guess they think they are part of the flock. They stay with them all of the time, even sleeping with them. You don't have to worry about coyotes, bobcats or any other problems, the dog will take care of that. Worth their weight in gold.

For me, it was a rare event. But certainly worth the effort.

@LuFins-Dad said in Can Ukraine push back?: @George-K said in Can Ukraine push back?: @Klaus presumably no access to replacement parts etc. Or a skillset to operate them. Though, I suppose a Zoom meeting might take care of that. I need to see a video of that… “Alexei is muted.. Click on the thing… No, that was your camera, click on the other thing… Ok, we can hear you but not see you. Click on the camera. There, that’s better, but it looks like you have the cat filter o….You know what? Screw it, let’s move on…” Ok, that made me laugh.

Last November, a revolution came to life in Virginia, a rebellion by parents who wanted a say into what their kids were being taught in school, mainly about race. A good way to phrase that. CRT not explicitly mentioned, and therefore no opening for a knee-jerk eyeroll giggly dismissal from the programmed leftist response.

You go, girl. (Although the soldier was trying to be cool and civil, FWIW.)

Good backgrounder from Axios: https://www.axios.com/us-ukraine-troop-training-47be92ec-3693-4f60-88b8-19ff0055134e.html Point: Votes could come as soon as next week. Point: House Armed Services Chairman Adam Smith (D-Wash.) told CNN the odds of passing a bill "in a rapid enough fashion to repel the invasion are remote." Point: Ukrainian forces so far have been buoyed by foreign military aid and drastic modernization since 2014. In this article anyway, I see no set-in-place plan, but rather are "considering ways to train Ukrainian forces remotely."
