It was kind of funny. He was sitting on the bed in the front bedroom, at the foot, and I wanted to read. So, I laid down on the bed, sorta pushed him over with my feet, and he stayed there for about 10 minutes. Then, he decided he needed some cuddles, so he came up and laid down next to me. Spent about half an hour there, purring away. Boris is definitely not a "cuddler," yet. In his head, at age 2 ½, he's still a kitten and still has some growing to do. I'd love to see more of this.

The gist of it seems to be that Ukrainian and Russian asylum seekers have historically been let in more easily than others (e.g., Latin America asylum seekers), but as a reaction to the latest Russian invasion of Ukraine, we are now making it even easier for the Ukrainians but not for the Russians.

Recalling some of the new, more recent pandemics, say, AIDS or H1N1 or avian flu or whatever ... how long did it take for the medical community to arrive at a "standard of care"?
