    I don't miss them either.

    Way too kind.

The president has very little to do with making this happen. It's a sentiment most can agree with but that's all.

If I recall, the United States is not a member of the International Court. So, he has even less to do with it than you thought.

    https://spectatorworld.com/topic/fired-joke-kamala-harris-outfit-wmal-cumulus-cancel-culture/

I was officially hired at WMAL, which is owned by Cumulus Media, this past fall as one of three female co-hosts of O’Connor & Company, the morning drive radio program.

On March 9, I co-hosted the show alongside my friend Larry O’Connor, just like I normally do on Wednesday mornings. It had been nearly a week since the social media meltdown over my Kamala tweet, and none of us at the show had a feeling that anything was amiss.

Later that afternoon, just before 4 p.m., I received a call out of the blue from Jeff Boden, the vice president of Cumulus Washington, D.C, and Kriston Fancellas, the vice president of Human Resources.

They told me that the tweet I sent about Kamala was “racist” and that subsequent follow-ups defending myself and making fun of the efforts to cancel me were unacceptable. I had violated the company’s social media policy, they said, and I was terminated effective immediately.

I see nothing wrong with that. As political discourse goes, that's pretty durn mild. If we have become that hypersensitized, we are doomed.

OTOH, you need to know the rest of the story, as Mr. Harvey would say. The email writing campaign that led to Amber's firing was spearheaded by LGBTQRSTUV folks in Florida, as payback for her stance on teaching sex ed to Florida kids in K-3 grade.

OK. But you'd still be better off to have it all PVC of some sort and fully buried. Not sure how long that tape will last.

That bushing is a good idea, I looked for one (wasn't in stock) before I went with the tape. I think the tape will last for a very long time, it's a very strong tape that is meant to withstand water and extreme temps. We will see.

For context, in case I didn't make it clear earlier, the exposed black corrugated pipe you see is the only the end part that sticks out of the ground near the sump discharge, but otherwise runs at least 30 feet under the front yard to an NDS pop-up drainage emitter that releases the water near the sidewalk. I actually had to pull back a thick landscape fabric (you can see it pulled back a bit) that covers it. Eventually I'll put some fresh mulch topping on the front garden including this area to further cover it, at least aesthetically.

God invented the camera. Satan invented the selfie.

The Great Lord Satan (I bow at his feet) shows us His image in a giant fireball, and Horace makes things even more desperate for himself by confusing Him with the other fellah.

Nice. Anybody here have a relative with a similarly sized wiki page? I think I'd have to go back to Adam and Eve.

When I lived in Wales, I'd walk past the local chapel on a Sunday morning. The singing was always incredible - just the most amazing sounds. The entire country seems to be able to sing so well.

In the pubs on a Friday night, the whole bloody place would sing along to Tom Jones.

And how did the two compare? 555

My guess is it’s politically easier to upgrade “modernize” an existing plant than to build new.

Trumbull speaks about the fantastic score by Goldsmith, when the Enterprise is finally revealed in toto. And yeah, the tune is that of the theme of ST:TNG.

But for totally brilliant music, watch and listen to the opening sequence of the movie, in which a trio of Klingon cruisers approaches an unknown enemy. Probably one of my favorite sequences of any sci-fi movie.

How the music shifts from aggressive battle-music to something dreamy when the clip shifts to the earth-based space station.

And you know how much I love sci-fi...
