Just watched E1. Agreed, it starts slow, but becomes pretty compelling. Critics hated it, but I expected that.

So the last croak gets our baby into the correct quadrant, and the next-to-last croak into the correct quadrant within that quadrant.

That's a nice observation. The "going back in time" trick is neat. But my "going forward in time"/wavefront argument works, too.

@Jolly I did not know that. This is the first I've heard of it.

Do you like it? I'm not sure how I feel about it, actually. I'd like to try it sometime.

Several recipes for it on-line. It's mayo based, with some horseradish, lemon and a dab of mustard, plus a couple of other odds and ends. Kind of a sweet/hot thing going on.

Try it as a dipping sauce for smoked meat or buffalo wings.

Better bet for a good future as compared to a surrender without publicity. Well played.

Sadly, they're currently out of business because of a dispute with the company that owns the tracks in that region (The Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad). The OCSRR does steam-powered rides up and down the coast.

    Been there, done that too.

Wait, vaccines actually keep people from getting the virus?

Vaccines mostly keep them from getting seriously ill or dying if they do get the virus, and reduce their transmissibility after if indeed they get the virus.

Right, so you really didn't fix anything.

Fix? Maybe too broad a term. In the 65+ world, it made a difference.

    At least for awhile.

It pretty much became a waste of time having the shot once Biden stole the election. That guy ruined everything.

Welk, you're two for three on this one...

We chop up lots of green onion and freeze it - then take out a smidge at a time when we need it.

Mrs. George is a huge green onion fan.

(I mean, she really likes green onions, not that she's huge...)

Tell me more. Just chop 'em up and throw 'em in a baggie??

    Yep.

They just won't be crisp when thawed, but they're fine to cook with.

It is always easy in the rearview mirror to say that this was wrong and that was wrong.

Hopefully, we learn from any mistakes and errors.

However, to say that the US was at the center of this and it was a power play by the CDC and other authorities in the US is somewhat nave.

If it was only the US that did things in response to COVID, I would say, "okay". But it was pretty much a worldwide response, without taking direction from the US.
