That is a tough situation, and it will be interesting to see how the ruling is. There are many examples of musicians who have been influenced by other musicians and a lot of their songs are "in the style" of a previous group or person. I don't know. Glad I don't have to decide this.

Actually, I doubt whether the Dauphin even know he was being bought. He left with all the money still on the table. In any case the problem with China predates Trudeau, it goes back to Harper and to a lesser extent,, Chrétien. But there is no denying it, Trudeau now owns it.

Interesting. Popes are just like other leaders I think - some good, some bad, and some in-between.

"So, eleven hundred men went into the water, three hundred sixteen men come out, and the sharks took the rest. But we delivered the bomb." I saw one eat a rocking chair.

The buck stop where?? https://freebeacon.com/biden-administration/watch-jennifer-granholm-throws-staff-under-the-bus-after-charging-station-fiasco/ Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm on Thursday addressed her now-infamous electric vehicle charging fiasco, saying her "young" staffers showed "poor judgment" when they used a gas-powered car to hoard a spot for Granholm at a crowded public station. Granholm during a congressional hearing confirmed the ordeal, which took place during the Biden administration official's June electric vehicle promotion tour. She did not, however, take responsibility for the incident, instead blaming "somebody" on her team for making a "mistake." "I wasn't saving the spot. But let me just say—I have a fantastic young staff. Just fantastic," Granholm said. "I just want to say that somebody made a mistake. … I didn't … It was poor judgment on the part of the team."

More on Google's "electronic waste," this time about the Pixel watch. https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2023/09/11-months-after-launch-googles-pixel-watch-still-has-no-path-to-repair/ The main points seem to be: Google has no "repair program" for its Pixel watches Google does not supply parts for its Pixel watches So if anything breaks, Google's only response is to tell you to buy a new one Of course, having read that article, I had to check whether other "smart watch" vendors have "repair programs" or provide parts. A quick search appears to confirm that Apple and Samsung have "repair programs" and provide parts for their smart watches. Not sure about FitBit. :man-shrugging:

@jon-nyc said in "Second Chance Probation": The control? How does that compare to those who aren't given probation? Third row of the picture - that shows the population imprisoned for felonies?
