She'd have crushed any other Dem candidate if she wanted to run in 2024 - and if there were a primary. I think she's smart enough to recognize the downsides of a run - and I doubt she's interested.

Haven’t really followed the hearings but I could see the idea that if he puts a more controversial nominee forward first (and also gets through) it’ll reset the bar to be lower for almost all his other nominees. Trump is very good at marketing strategy.

Senator, thank you for the question. The seriousness of any credible accusation, particularly one involving physical abuse, demands careful and thorough consideration. Such allegations must be evaluated in the context of their credibility, the evidence supporting them, and the principles of due process. While everyone is entitled to a presumption of innocence until proven guilty, credible accusations of physical abuse raise significant concerns about a candidate's judgment, character, and ability to lead effectively. These qualities are critical for those who hold public office or serve in leadership roles. If confirmed, I would prioritize ensuring that the individuals I work with or recommend for positions meet the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and respect for others. Abuse of any kind is unacceptable, and credible accusations would warrant serious deliberation and likely disqualification, depending on the circumstances.

The article says 8 hours. You could easily have a couple of beers at the lobby bar, get your 8hrs sleep in, and fly the next day. This guy sounds like he went from the bar to the airport.

Guess I'll stop opening this thread. Ugh. Reminds me of a friend of my wife who visited a few months ago and kept opening her phone to be like "Oh man, this angers me, did you see the story about this child who was killed (or other dark news stories)" and I straight up told her, just stop reading the news that has no impact on your life!!!!!!!
