Google Nest Wifi has been good for me. I've had to reset it maybe 2 times in the last 3 years. Performance is ok. It switches seamlessly across access points. The administration is easy.

@larry said in Worth 10¢: It's the same psychology that causes big ticket items to be priced at 3999 instead of 4000 dollars. That last dollar causes the first number to go from 3 to 4, so even though everyone is aware that it's only a dollar, it feels like a thousand. Yup. LOL On similar story, I was reading about if someone is buying a bag of noodles for USD$10, and the exact same bag is for sale a block away for USD$9, many/most people will go the extra block to save the USD$1 But it someone is buying a fancy dress, and it is USD $476 in one store and the exact same dress in a store one block away is USD$475, most people would not get the extra block to save that one dollar. Human thinking is very interesting.

It is going to happen. I think one of best long term advantages of the US is that things have a tendency to balance out back to the middle. I think that the majority of the US people are not too far from the middle. Things go to far to the right, people vote to bring it back. Goes too far to the left, same thing happens. Now, of course people may debate that the middle is constantly changing also, and that is true. But I dont think it moves too too far.

@mik said in Not so fast...: Disagree. Continuing to press vaccination now that the requirement has been stopped opens them up to liability if it gets squashed permanently. I think they will quietly stall for the moment. Saw a number of protests outside buildings this week. I am not sure about that. Private companies have a lot of ability to require things for their employees. And I think the US supreme court has already ruled in favor of schools and companies that have required vaccines and said that they are legal to do that.

Jennifer Lynn Siebel was born in San Francisco, to Kenneth F. Siebel Jr., an investment manager (the second cousin to software entrepreneur Thomas Siebel), I was wondering if she was related to Thomas Siebel.

THa's awesome. I last took my boy to Berlin in 2018, but we didn't know about this. Time for a revisit.
