Andrew Cuomo engaged in sexual harassment and ordered state workers to help produce his book during work hours. The report also found that Cuomo’s executive chamber “substantially revised” a state report to exclude deaths of nursing home residents at hospitals to boost Cuomo’s reputation. In March, the Assembly Judiciary Committee hired a Manhattan law firm, Davis Polk & Wardwell, to investigate whether there were grounds to impeach Cuomo. Cuomo, a Democrat, resigned in August to avoid a likely impeachment trial in the wake of another investigation that found he sexually harassed at least 11 women. That investigation was led by two independent attorneys selected by state Attorney General Letitia James, also a Democrat. The Assembly investigators said they reviewed that sexual harassment investigation, as well as about 600,00 pages of documents gathered by Davis Polk that ranged from photographs to emails to recordings of phone calls to video recordings. Heh. The assembly investigators: "LOLGF." Cuomo has demanded that Assembly investigators hand over all their evidence against him, but Judiciary Committee members say that Cuomo isn’t entitled to that evidence. “In the face of an impeachment trial, the former Governor chose to resign, not to contest the available evidence and confront witnesses in that legal forum,” the report released Monday said. “Having foregone that opportunity, he is not entitled to the production of any further evidence from this Committee.”

Now again they are packing up—but this time to get away from the bastions of old Union liberality. People are fleeing the bright lights and supposed cultural dynamism of old New York and Chicago and “enlightened” newer cities such as Los Angeles and San Francisco. What once crippled the antebellum and postbellum Old South were obsessions with race that infected every aspect of life. Like the Soviet commissariat, such one-drop fixations ultimately stagnated social life and eroded economic efficacy.

Reminds me of this: My cousin's a state trooper. He got a call about a car that swiped a few others in the DC beltway, then parked itself on the middle of the highway. When he and another trooper approached the car, the driver was just staring out the front windshield. Then when the trooper tried opening the door to pull the driver, he started fighting him, swinging punches, clawing at his face. They tackled and restrained him. The other trooper wanted to bring him up on about a dozen felonies, but my cousin checked him out. Then called for an ambulance. Driver was diabetic. My cousin recognized it because he's a diabetic. Ambulance didn't have stuff on-hand so they used the kit my cousin keeps in his squad car. Driver eventually came to and had no idea where he was or what happened.

Which brings up another point...I don't know in this case, but many people, especially antifa types, are professional protesters. Many of the people in the Kenosha riot were from other states. Surely there is some way to discourage outside money from supporting these folks...

On the Md inspection website, they straightup say it's their job to stress test things, and if something breaks in the process so be it; whatever it is, it's something the sellers should have taken care of in the first place. That's a lot of trust to be placed in somebody, which is a problem because in addition to the above, a lot of these inspectors aren't what people think. Many of them have never, ever been on a construction site in their lives. They aren't necessarily electricians, plumbers, or carpenters, and they sure as hell aren't all three. Yet they're completely at liberty to screw around with these components, and judge the work of tradesmen far more knowledgable than themselves. I'm never, ever going to let them screw around with my home without me being there ever again. I think they make around 200-300 bucks for an inspection. I could be wrong, because I would never allow one of them to set foot on a property. I think you can become a "home inspector" by simply paying a fee.. again, I'm not sure, since I never allowed one to set foot on any of my properties. But then... I never allowed a real estate agent to set foot on a property, either. At a few hundred bucks pay, you'll find it difficult to get a "home inspector" to pony up 2 granf... Buddy of mine is a full-time renovator, doing about 50 properties a year. Based on what he tells me, I'd say you're right on in terms of what they make it and how they get their title.
