@jolly said in 50 (well, 30) years ago: And the world is a better place. Maybe. Yeah, I think the internet is "net negative" in terms of news/social. But net positive for staying connected with friends/family, data storage (cloud!), and information access (maps, research, how-to videos, etc).

My question is why is an alien, green card or no, with his criminal record still in the US? It should be one strike and you are out.

@89th said in Shaman: @larry said in Shaman: @89th said in Shaman: @larry I think you have your documents mixed up You're correct, I do. I quoted the Declaration of Independence, not the Constitution. My mistake. Still, it clearly in the Declaration of Independence that the people have the right to abolish the government and institute a new one. I would assume then, that this means the Constitution plays second fiddle, and would be abolished as well, with the new government deciding whether or not to incorporate it into the new government or not, and how much on the Constitution might be kept. The Declaration of Independence was exactly that... a declaration. It outlined why our country broke away from the monarchy and the ideals for which a new country/constitution/government would be formed. So the Constitution was later created, and are where rights are outlined. I'm aware of that. And, because the Constitution was written for the purpose of implementing those ideals, it is our right as citizens to abolish that Constitution if it strays from those ideals. Those on January 6th were explicitly executing anti-Constitution acts, even if they thought it was just anti-Government. They were objecting to the government following election law and the constitution process regarding the election of leaders and the peaceful transfer of power, fueled by misinformation. Which was a shame, as I'm sure most involved love America and the constitution as much as anyone else. Bull shit. Pure, unadulterated bull shit.

Mrs. George is running a 2011 MacBook Air. Her current OS is Big Sur (Mac OS 11.6.1) and has had no problems afaik. However, she's at the end of the upgrade path. She won't be able to upgrade to Monterey (nor will I with my 2014 iMac).

I guess I would have to agree on the face of it. But I won’t see what the jury will. Don’t think they pass the reasonable person test.

Reminds me of when Trump fired everyone on that business committee the day after they all resigned.

I think you have it Klaus. FWIW todays hint wants you te realize that a single spider suffices if you can break the cycles. HINT: This puzzle is basically a chase on a graph. Show that if the graph were a tree (connected, but with no cycles), one spider would suffice to catch the ant.

I'm serious. I'm pretty sure that guy grew up very close to where I'm from, and I know for sure that he went to college in my home town. I think there might be something in the water. What makes you think so? His affording of all due respect for authority. Also, his LinkedIn profile says he went to UCLAN, which is what we used to call Preston Poly. Gotcha. Well, he's hilarious, and I was serious about my life goals. I really wish he could've visited my past self for career day. You should move to Preston. Admittedly, it's a bit of a dump, but there are a lot of people like him there You could be their king. At least, until they inevitably overthrew and executed you.

@george-k said in American Thinker du jour - Vaccine Edition: My surgeon friend (whom I referenced in the "Truth is out there" thread, constantly refers to VAERS. I’ve repeatedly stated that VAERS was absolutely a horrible idea… Yes, I get that it has been around for decades, but this was the first time it was ever really relevant to country as a whole and you just knew the data was going to confuse the hell out of some people and manipulated by others.

Has anyone come across the answer to the question of what is being done with these torn-down statues?
