Cats are extremely sensitive to these things. I know I spoke of when MFR had a fever for a few days Luna and Stella laid right with her for hours, which they never do.

Yeah we have one near our dining table… lots of crumbs after the kids eat. Until we get a dog, this device helps us quickly vacuum up messes. Always charged, very light, easy to empty, easy to use.

Just make sure they do them right. Some rapid tests are better than others. None are any good with a sub-optimal specimen.

It gets crazy if you travel Massachusetts Massachusetts does not honor permits from any other states. There is no duty to retreat in a person’s dwelling, although there is a duty to retreat outside of one’s home. The former Class B license allows for only the open carry of non-large capacity firearms. Due to revisions to licensure, there may be Class B licenses that are still valid, however, no new Class B licenses are being issued. Virginia Virginia honors all out-of-state concealed carry permits. There is no duty to retreat, and you can defend yourself at any location you are legally permitted to be. Open carry is legal in Virginia without a permit for anyone who is at least 18 years old who can legally possess a firearm. https://www.usconcealedcarry.com/resources/ccw_reciprocity_map/va-gun-laws/

In fairness, we don't know what, if anything, Tapper knew. But, PV is veritas, again. [image: 1640874794978-fh1ntnbxmaehtx.jpeg]

@george-k well for us to get a Gastro guy to come at two in the morning without the patient being in extremis in dire straits, meaning not bleeding, they will do it in the morning. Ok? Probably not but that’s the way things go sometimes.

@lufins-dad said in USA outdoor trip recommendations?: Klaus, are you looking for backpacking or camping? Two VERY different things in the US. In some of the more famous parks, the less accessible but famous camping spots will fill up very quickly, but there will still be plenty of “base camp” camping spots available if you are strictly looking for day hikes… Backpacking. We've been camping in the US before, so I know what that is about. The way I understood it, backpacking involves hiking to places not accessible by car, and you either spend the night wherever you want or on very loosely structured camping places with basically no infrastructure.

"This isn't rocket science..." Well, no, it's not. It's nuclear physics which is a whole 'nother thing, LOL.

@copper said in Kaput: Amazon has replaced most of them. A decade or two ago, the more common refrain was “Walmart has replaced most of them.”
