In Canada’s case it’s the failure or, negligence of elected politicians and their political advisors to take action on the intelligence brought forward to them by the services gathering and analysing it. The present government in Ottawa is particularly negligent in this regard.

The question then becomes, why would you give them an extra $40/child, when we're already feeding them for free?

U just know someone is going to accidentally drop some cigarette ash on it by mistake and have it disappear in a blaze of glory within minutes.

Imagine how good the next one will be if he has to make another. Lots of practice.

American poor are decidedly not Namibians. I suspect our own people are far less inclined to sieze an opportunity to better their lot.

Make sure you glance through the comments.

The Navy tried to marry steel and aluminum. Aluminum cracks under stress and salt water plays hell with it. They tried to undercrew these vessels severely, counting on outside civilian contractors for even some routine maintenance. They had unrealistic goals for speed...That's why aluminum was used. That's why the transmissions won't hold up to the horsepower.

Then, they asked the ships to do missions they weren't made for. The Navy could have literally gone to other navies that use these types of ships and bought them off the shelf (for a heckuva lot less money0 similar to what we are doing with the current Italian buy.

All this was done to make an unworkable idea work, so some guy gets another star, and the procurement process goes forward. At least in China they shoot their screw-ups...I don't think anybody can screw up this bad with this much money, unless they are actively trying...

We thought we'd move to a smaller condo in the Gold Coast area too. Glad we didn't. The city has a lot of tribulation to go through before they right the ship. Kowtowing to the criminal element won't do it.

Make Wisconsin like Germany, Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary...well, you get the point.

The italicized countries are MORE restrictive than the proposed legislation.

@klaus had the best suggestion: Pick a number and make everyone unhappy.

    FIFY.

Look at what those nasty Republicans have done over the last three years!

As usual, about 50,000 of these were asylum seekers who made appointments via the mobile phone app, while the rest were apprehended trying to cross the border illegally.

One of the more interesting videos about the border was seen when POTATUS went for a photo-op visit to the border. The streets were clean, there were no encampments, and not one person was crossing the Rio Grande.

A local official commented - if they can stop it overnight for a visit by Biden, they can stop it overnight. And they don't. Ask yourself why.

@Jolly said in The Fix Is In:

Going back to beat on the article a bit...The current trend in national politics worries me a bit. Politics ain't beanbag and it's always been a rough and tumble profession, but this concentrated effort to run a microscope through candidate's lives, to manufacture stories if facts don't exist and the willingness of the MSM to absolutely abandon any semblance of fairness and independent research, does not bode well for the good of the Republic.

Trump is once again functioning as a Rorschach test and a mirror for the establishment. A chaos test that shows all the weaknesses in the system.

Whether is he is elected or not, we have some serious problems we need to change, such as the concentration of nonelected power in The Swamp, the abandonment of fairness in the media, the use of lawfare as a campaign tool and the lack of penalty for using government agencies inappropriately.

Spot on. The lack of guiding ethics is appalling.
