The HOA is so much funA normal monthly meeting lasts for about an hour, this was 4 hours.
A normal meeting might have 25-30 people, this was closer to 200.
Two police cars arrived about 2 hours into the meeting. My understanding is that several different people called the police because of a couple idiots who appeared threatening to some.
I didn't even know the police were in the building until I got home. I sit up front with the Board because I have a monthly report to present.
I really hate having to deal with the mental cases who have no idea what they are talking about and rant like mad men and women.
There were more than a few side-conversations with people trading insults and admonitions.
By the time I got home it was too late for whisky, maybe tonight.

Gee, you're old.
I remember (really!) when the Interstates didn't exist.
And a time before any man made object had orbited the earth

NY Gov Hochul saves you money!I believe the cost was 25 cents, 50 cents (maybe 35) to go all the way to the beltway.

NY Gov Hochul saves you money! In high volume, the toll is higher
But since the volume is higher, the speed is slower
Did you know that the Dulles Toll Road was initially built with the promise that the toll booths will be removed when the cost of the road has been covered?
The cost of the road was recovered in only a few years, but when they saw how much money could be collected, the promise was forgotten.

The HOA is so much funWhat I have to look forward to tonight. I will just keep my mouth shut.
Just posted on the Facebook Group page:
Thoughts on having a petition on hand for neighbors to sign at the meeting this evening that demands the immediate resignation of the Board and Diamond Management for Gross mismanagement and financial missapropriation?
Among the reasons we could cite:
-100%+ increase in fees owed to the HOA year over year
-consistent violations of rules around record keeping and transparency
-current stalemate over 55+ pool and fitness room
-inability to properly manage builder / developer relationships thus resulting in a haphazard approach to neighborhood expansion
-assaults on transparency and free speech when it comes to sharing challenges and concerns with HOA leadershipI’m sure we could easily add to this list, and I look forward to hearing the additional concerns our neighbors have with the current Board and Diamond management this evening!

@Copper are these government records preserved elsewhere?
It is probably not possible for us to understand the total mass of government records.

Shredder orderedShredder truck
They have trucks that come around to your building and provide industrial strength shredding
We used to have burn trucks come around - they might be the size of a trash truck and they burn stuff right on the spot in your parking lot. They are government certified. Joe Biden's garage is probably a regular stop.
They used to be common around northern VA, I have no idea if they still exist.
I know it is the feds and they can create a lot of paper, but I assume the paper volume is down from what it was back in the 1980s.
