ATC guy: avoid Newark ‘at all costs’Most pilots are trained to look out the window.

ATC guy: avoid Newark ‘at all costs’Then there was the old People Express terminal. It was tiny and had a low ceiling and People Express had a 747 flight from Newark to Boston. The terminal was built for small airplanes and the 747 was not small, it was a shoulder-to-shoulder cattle car, but it was cheap.

ATC guy: avoid Newark ‘at all costs’@LuFins-Dad said in Avoid Newark ‘at all costs’:
I avoid Newark at all costs for other reasons.
We had a data center in Newark, near the airport. We had to unlock the chain link fence any time we came or went. The fence surrounded the parking lot and was topped off with concertina wire.

ATC guy: avoid Newark ‘at all costs’I once spent the night on a bench on the sidewalk at Newark Airport, waiting for it to open.
It's a long story, I was working at Exit 8A and my wife went into labor. It was the last time I flew on a DC8. It only had a few passengers, a very nice flight.

Is Willy Wonka a musical? Discuss…AI Overview
A musical movie is a film genre where songs are woven into the narrative, often accompanied by dance, to advance the plot, develop characters, or serve as elaborate production numbers. In essence, it's a movie where characters break into song and dance to express emotions, thoughts, and motivations, creating a unique cinematic experience.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Music Integration:
Songs are not just background music; they are an integral part of the story, furthering the narrative or character development.
Emotional Expression:
Musicals often utilize music to convey emotions that might be difficult to express through dialogue alone.
Dance and Choreography:
Dance routines, often choreographed, enhance the visual and emotional impact of the songs and scenes.
Narrative and Character Development:
Musical numbers can reveal character motivations, advance the plot, or build tension.
Classic Examples:
Popular examples include "The Wizard of Oz," "Singin' in the Rain," and "West Side Story," among many others.Yes, Willy Wonka is a musical

Oh come the fuck on.It's likely the Vatican has already contacted Mr. Trump with the job offer.
They just have to work out a schedule. I wonder if he will wait until after his term as president.

Trump 100-Day Approval RatingsIf only we had elected Ms. Harris, we wouldn't have these troubles.

Trump 100-Day Approval RatingsHe should not be able to ignore supreme court rulings. Does that mean scotus is superior to the president?
Was there another coup?

Will we have a free election in 28? Or even 26?@jon-nyc said in Will we have a free election in 28? Or even 26?:
If you think my concern is misplaced tell me why rather than just say I’m deranged.
Your restriction doesn't mean it's not TDS. It is TDS.
And it is highly unlikely that he will live through is term. Given people spreading nonsense like the above I think there is an audience who will take this as a call to action. The voices are not just in the perps head, they are everywhere, even here.
And Mr. Trump is for the most part a law abiding citizen, the fabrications to the contrary are fabrications.

A fun thread to get your mind off the economy -
Cessna crashes in Boca Raton, FLBased on the radar track, some people guessed that there was something wrong with the rudder.
A stuck rudder would cause you to fly in circles, and probably lose control. Although this is a 2-engine plane so you can get some control by using differential thrust - running one engine faster or slower than the other.
A rudder can get stuck if a cable breaks or gets fouled.
This plane probably has a gust lock, a device that is installed while on the ground to keep gusts of wind from making the rudder flap around. This lock is supposed to be removed before flight, this will definitely be on the checklist.
I have seen a guy, an instructor, leave the gust lock on a rudder and fly the plane with it installed. He never even knew it, but he did mention that the controls were sluggish. Someone spotted the lock still installed after landing. As the story spread everyone made the same comment - he should have died.
