Out on the bike today...
-
….I saw a group of about 10-15 joggers. No spacing, no masks, all men in their 50's and 60's.
Presumably they primarily jog for their heath?
-
Well you can’t run with a mask. Maybe the runners have an understanding how their nondistanced friends are isolating themselves...and if you can get coronavirus from sharing air outside why even bother? The alternative is to stay inside forever and that ain’t living.

I didn't say they should stay indoors. The problem was 15 blokes all running together without any distancing at all. It's also really anti-social when they come across anybody else, who is going to have a real hard time staying clear.

I don’t support a running group running together in a crowded area and it’s not a good look for following social distancing rules. I suppose if you run slow enough as in jog you can wear a mask, so I will qualify that comment.
I think we are at a phase where people are judging other people. Heck I find it funny when I see people driving with masks on. Also I say if coronavirus truly spreads outdoors and wearing masks inside and hand washing isn’t enough, the odds are so stacked against trying to have a life we might as well go on living and pray for the best. I will get on airplanes and I will engage with family and friends face to face and I will go to the beach and I will get my haircu.. It may be a long time before I go to a bar, a restaurant, a musical event, a move theater, or other mass gathering. I will wear a mask indoors, very doubtful outside.

I wear my mask when I go to the grocery store and a few other places. I find it a little bit difficult to breathe with a mask. Therefore, I would hate to go out for a jog or a run with a mask on. I would think I'd have a terrible time breathing.

That seems like a pretty low bar to me, considering everything we've ever had to deal with in the past. I mean really, wearing a mask while driving, is that really a "throw up your hands and leave it all to Jesus" kind of concession? Give me haircuts or give me death?

Hey look at this runner. It's a covering, not a mask. More important than the covering is just keeping away from others. The streets are empty enough so that I can run pretty far from others. Our local running group has cancelled all group runs. The only people I see biking or walking together typically have been families though I've seen tweens who have been in groups.

I'm not getting on an aircraft any time soon. I'm missing my mother's funeral, FFS. These assholes could give their communal jog a freaking miss.

Like in a cult?
"Stupid cult" was pretty close to what I said when I saw them.

Yeah, that'd be pretty frustrating to come across. Around here, all the running clubs have halted any group activities. There are a couple of us, that will do some runs together, but no more than 2 or 3...where it's easy to keep large distance between each other, and any group/person we come across.
It looked quiet after a day of rain, so my wife and I went out on the rail trail for the first time in a while recently...Right at its most narrow point, two separate groups (on bikes) were standing on either side of the trail having a visit. This caused anyone having to pass through, having to practically brush past them.
I get not wanting to live every moment in fear, but it's not difficult at all to run in pairs instead of groups, and make sure there's plenty of space for others.

@Rich It was close to 80 when I ran. This is a lightweight cover intended to act as a sunblock. Compared to a true mask, it is much lighter and infinitely easier to breathe - but it is obviously not contoured to the face so it is not protective the way a mask might be - so social distancing is important. I don't think it possible to run with an N95 mask. info on face shield
