Robins Williams is a lot funnier, and he's dead.

Williams probably wrote about as much of his own material as Cruz did that speech, so that checks out.

Most of it wasn't written period, so good luck backing that one.

Maybe Horace is unaware than RW also did stand-up, in addition to his lucrative movie and situation-comedy roles.

Any-who, I'd humbly suggest that Ted Cruz is more Orson than Mork.

      I was only joking

Not to mention he ad-libbed pretty much the entirety of Good Morning Vietnam.

I was referring to his notorious habit of joke thievery from other comics.

          Education is extremely important.

And about half of his HBO standup.

Imagine how annoying it must be if somebody steals your joke and then when they tell it, it's 100 times funnier than when you did.

I'm talking about Robin, not Ted.

Robin Williams did mostly improv, at 90 miles a minute. But I agree, a lot of it was not original, but regurgitated at a rapid rate.

Williams was the same off camera. I once heard a guy interviewed that went to school with him and the guy said after a few weeks of the rapid fire repertoire, most people were ready to kill him.

I actually think that his strongest work was in his less manic, more serious movies. Awakenings, The Dead Poets Society, The Fisher King....

He demonstrated a humanity and vulnerability that you didn't see in the comedy stuff.

                      That deserves a re-watch. Thanks.
