Republican Party donors and leaders are talking about how best to stop Trump from running away with the nomination again in 2024. But they don’t have a clear plan to stop him.... Eric Levine, a top GOP fundraiser who has been calling on the party to move on from Trump since the 2020 election and the uprising at the Capitol. “He is a metastasizing cancer who if he is not stopped is going to destroy the party. As we get closer Trump is going to see the handwriting on the wall. Now, he may not care if he fucks everybody up. Trump worries only about Trump, so he may not care if we lose as long as he has his day in the park, but I don’t know any donor that wants to give a red nickel to Trump.”

Kristina Karamo, who refused to concede her 14-point loss for secretary of state in 2022, beat former attorney general candidate Matt DePerno, who had Trump’s endorsement, in three rounds of contentious voting. The chaotic 11-hour convention, featuring a rowdy standoff over voting procedures and 10 candidates who all ran under a pro-Trump banner, left no doubt that the bulk of the party’s activists in this key battleground state remain firmly committed to election denial and showed no interest in moderating their message to appeal to the political center.
“Conceding to a fraudulent person is agreeing with the fraud, which I will not do,” Karamo said to cheers in her campaign speech on Saturday.

One of the things in the headline and I think that @jolly has brought up when talking about what is believed to be positives for Presdient Trump is the # of judges done by him.
It is interesting that President Biden has actually appointed MORE judges than President Trump at equal times of their president cycle
"President Joe Biden is outpacing his predecessor in the number of federal judge appointees installed during his tenure.
As of Sept. 20, Biden had notched 83 federal judges confirmed by the Senate. At this point in his presidency, Donald Trump had 69 appointees confirmed, according to NBC News. If continued at this pace, Biden is on track to beat Trump's historic number of appointees."
That could obvisouly slow down if the Republicans win the Senate.

“Who did I want determining the direction of the Supreme Court for years to come: Trump or Hillary Clinton? The question was not close. On this basis alone, I would crawl over broken glass to the polls to vote for Trump.
Once Trump won the nomination, the media, after fawning over him during the primaries, suddenly discovered his character flaws, which they now suggested made him unfit for office. I did not know enough about him to make firm judgments about all aspects of his character, but I did not see anything at the time I felt disqualifying. The country should aspire to elect leaders of high moral character, to be sure. But the significance of a candidate’s moral strengths and weaknesses has to be judged in relation to all the other attributes that person would bring to the office in the context of the time in which he’s running—together with his policy views and leadership skills. In our age, the electorate seems to put less stock in character, as I learned sadly when it replaced George H. W. Bush with Bill Clinton. Trump was not as much two-faced as full-on frontal: what you saw is pretty much what you got. Many people have attributed his flaws to a deep narcissism. This would not surprise me—it is a common malady in our age, especially among celebrities, political and otherwise.”
