I had a front row seat for it. It was just plain stupid.
We’re you one of the kids bussed to a school far away?

No, my father was a high school headmaster in Boston. He was making Walter Cronkite appearances at the time to discuss the bussing.
He sent his kids to private schools, of course. They were cheap back then. I think $100 covered 6 of us in the same grammar school. We had nuns who worked for food and shelter.
-
Interesting.
Even today the parochial schools are a lot cheaper than similar private schools.
-
Would bussing work today with the wokes? Feels like a true test.
Peer quality is strongly linked to outcomes. You take poor disadvantaged kids and start sending them to areas with high property values (and high property values because of schools), let's see how people react?
I for one unabashedly traded less house for better school district. I'm sure many others have as well.

Sorry. Future presidents need to know that can’t just go down the path of launching assaults on democracy if they lose. Figurative and literal.
Future Presidents should be treated just like any other American, with all the rights and privileges we enjoy.
If you don't like that, China is a large communist country that might suit your idea of law and government better.

NYC Severing All City Contracts With Trump Organization
The city had contracts with the Trump Organization to manage four different locations, worth about $17 million a year
On another note let’s see the new prices for the new contracts when theses expire.
-
Some talking head said that the contract between the Trump organization and NYC specifies that the contract can be terminated for "criminal behavior."
AFAICT, President Trump was impeached, but not convicted. Also, I admit I might be wrong, "criminal behavior" is decided in the courts, not Congress.
That sound you hear is the sound of Trump organization lawyers salivating.
ETA: NYC's announcement occurred before the impeachment. Good luck and [@Jolly] enjoy [/@jolly].

For his sake, I hope he doesn't use Lin Wood and Sidney Powell, who in recent weeks haven't salivated so much as drool.
-
Read today that 3 of the 4 contracts are expiring in April anyway.

So...grandstanding, eh?
At an insanely stupid cost. The damages they can claim are significant.

Beyond loss of revenue, what else? Damage to (cough) reputation?

Just read that the Trump organization's contracts with NYC are in excess of $40MM.
